Well, reflecting on the opening game last night, I saw a lot of room for improvement. The tackling was pretty bad, and there were a lot of defensive breakdowns. However, the Tigers came away with a 27-7 victory at Toronto, and shortcomings aside, were the dominant team.

So, with that, to save space on the opening page, here is the compilation of updates I made throughout the game on this site. After I post this, the original updates will be purged. So, here it goes!

It's game time, folks! I'm going to be on my way to Toronto in a few minutes to watch my Tigers roll to victory! All the sports commentators in the paper are predicting a Tiger victory, as am I, so let's get it started!

Hey all! Just two more days... if you know me well, you know what I'm talking about. That's right, just two days until HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL!!! I'll be making the trip up to Toronto to watch my Tigers open up the season with a win! I wish Friday was here already!

Now that I got that out of my system, on to other things. Ok, first off, I found a cat toy for Adolph that will probably get really annoying after a while. It's this string on a stick that when you shake it around, it makes bird chirping noises. It may not seem like it would be annoying, but since the thing has only two, maybe three, varieties of chirps, it can get very repetitive. Not that Adolph seems to mind. It sounds like a bird and is waving in her face. That must mean she has to play with it! So, all is well. Oh, and also worthy of mention, I finally got her a new cat collar. The old one had been broken after her last vet's visit. The new one has fake bling around it! Plus a bell. She seems to like it, but she's a cat... it's hard to tell what their thinking of... well, that's not quite true. They think of murder... all day...

Moving on... I have started the programming of the online tank game! It will probably be slow in development, as I have some HUGE programs to write at work, so I may be all programmed out when I actually get time to work on the game. But, I'm hoping to have a beta version available by Christmas at the latest. It will probably come sooner than that, but depending on what the "real work" schedule does to me, I want to make sure that I'm given a bit of slack in the development schedule.

What else? Ah yes... yesterday, I went to Steak n Shake. By now, you all know that this is one of my favourite places to go. Well, one of my favourite waitresses was working that day. (Yes, I have SEVERAL favourites...) And we were doing the normal chit-chatting like always. Nothing special. I was relaxed there, in a T-shirt and shorts. Well, I had finished my meal, and my two and a half cups of coffee, so I get up to leave, and the waitress says the random comment of the week: "You have hugh calves!" I didn't know what to say when she said that... so, I just kinda stood there with this look of shock on my face. Of course, I think we both got somewhat embarrassed by the whole thing. I tried to comment something that would fit in with the whole situation... "They are one of the stronger parts of my body." I think that made the situation that much worse, though. We agreed that it was really random, and both had a good awkward laugh about it.

Ah yes... the classic art of the Japanese Game Show... they definitely come up with some of the weirdest ideas for game shows, that's for sure! I kinda wish US TV would have this kind of ingenuity! Anywho, because I love the Japanese Game Show so much, I decided to find an especially painful one, and boy, did I find one! Each of these guys who lose are probably shouting WTF right along with you! Hmmm.... I wonder how you say "WTF" in japanese.... Probably something like "ダーバーユーティーエーフ"

Here I am again at the coffee shop by myself, sipping on a mug of Blue Heeler, playing a game of solitare, and watching the storm blow through. It may have started to hail, as I have heard a few clinks of something hit the windows. I have been drowsy all day, maybe because my body could sense the incoming rain. Today was just another typical Monday, it seems... the beginning of yet another work week, and one that promises to be one of the busiest I have had in a while. I start an enormous project this week, and there was no time to start on it because of all the various issues that came up today. Does it sound like I am complaining? It may seem so, but I am pretty content right now. It is great to watch a storm while sipping a nice hot coffee after a hard day's work. Yeah, just another day in paradise!
