Wow, it's been a while since I've posted an actual blog to the site! I know, it's only been about a week, and compared to my old site's posting and my MySpace, one week is nothing, but STILL! I've gotten used to posting every day or so, so waiting a week to actually write something is an eternity!
Well, let's see what's going on.... well, last week, the Tigers beat Monroe Central 35-0... This has to be the worst loss MC has suffered in recent memory. Since 2002 (which is the farthest I can check back on the site I check records on), only one other team has put up 35 on MC... and that was the Barnesville team last year, who beat MC 35-7. It still wasn't a 35 point loss, though. The worst previous loss for MC was also that 35-7 loss to Barnesville last year. Also, since 2002, MC had only been shutout four other times, the largest shutout margin being the 2005 Shadyside 19-0 game. So, a 35 point shutout is a HUGE loss for MC. I don't know if Shadyside is that good, or if MC is having a huge down year. Time will tell, I guess.
This week, the Tigers have Linsly at home for their home opener. I predicted a 40-14 win for the Tigers. We'll have to see how that holds up. The running back for Linsly makes me nervous, but from everything I've heard, the team seems to be a one-man show. Hopefully, the Tigers will come out with a nice victory.
Tomorrow, Brad and Tim are coming into town, and I'm hoping that "The Real Bob" will be telepresent. Haven't seen him for so long, since he is planning for his wedding. We're planning on doing some RP-ing, and I still need to build my character! Ugh! That, and housecleaning, and shopping, and being chased around by Adolph during it all... Busy, busy, busy!
Yesterday, I got a little bit of my shopping done. Had to go to Walmart to pick up my waters, as well as some Wii stuff. Oh, and a Tenth Edition MTG Core Set! Anywho, when I parked my car and got out of it, there was this lady standing there holding a camera. She asked to take a picture of my car, because her son is fascinated by PT Cruisers, so she photographs different Cruisers, hoping to have a photo collection for him containing one of every color. My Cruiser is a pretty unusual color! Anyway, I was happy to oblige. She took the picture, thanked me, then we went on our seperate ways.
Finally, since I'm talking about this past week, who could forget Labor Day! Yep, nothing like having a holiday for pregnant women! My parents had a cookout up at their house, and I went, of course, and brought along Oliver and Manda for the ride. There was lots of food, and I know I ate my fill of burgers, hot dogs, sides, and desserts. Toward the end of the evening, we got into a game of Imaginiff. If you've never played that game before, you should! It's pretty fun! Anywho, we ended up playing two games of it, and the second will go down in history as having the funniest (or should I say, most ironic) name/topic/answer combination. There were only four of us playing: Myself, Oliver, Manda, and my Mom. But, there are eight name spaces on the board, and every space must have a name. Since Manda didn't know too many other people that my family knew, we decided to use fictional and/or historical characters instead. So, our four names were on there, as well as people like Stewie, Helen Keller, Weird Al, and Hitler. Well, on to the funny/ironic part. The name token landed on Hitler, so he was supposed to be the topic of the question. The question was "Imaginiff Hitler were a toy. What toy would he be?" Answer #1 was E-Z Bake Oven. At that point, the game was delayed for about five minutes, because we were all laughing so hard, we couldn't do anything else. Yeah, we've had some pretty good combinations in the past, but that one takes the cake! No pun intended.
Well, it's time for me to log off and get on with various household chores before I walk up to the game. I'll see y'all later!
