Here I am, sitting here once again, ready to vent my frustrations out. Well, I am calmer than I was, but it still irks me to no end to have to deal with some daily frustrations. Especially when the thing that frustrates you is something you were initially looking forward to. Have you ever had one of those times? When something you set out to do turned out to be a complete and utter farce? That is how I feel right now. The question is, when comes the time to throw in the towel on that matter? That planning you did to take part in something that has been enjoyable in the past... do you let it go to waste? Or is it just a waste of time to continue on? Do you move on and count your losses, or do you struggle on, knowing there is nothing you can do to change the status quo, and risk being ridiculed and humiliated? I have said my piece, as have others. Nothing has sunk in. There is apparently no room for suggestions or criticisms, even when you are giving up your precious time to try to make something work that you eventually come to realize never will. I know I am not alone in this matter, as others, friends and strangers, have come forward to argue the same frustrations and concerns. Still, nothing said can penetrate. Like throwing rocks into a lava stream. You can throw with all of your might, but that lava is still going to flow, following its path, destroying what it touches. I realize now that there is almost no hope in this matter. It's better to walk away than to stay. I may decide to give it a little bit more time to see if something can be done, although it's sad to say it doesn't look like it. The towel is in hand, and I'm ready to throw. |
