Well, in about an hour, a new show comes on TV. The one based on the Geico Cavemen. From the previews, it has the "look and feel" of "The Office", but dwells heavily on the "I'm a caveman in the 21st century" stereotype... if you want to call that a stereotype. It looks like something that could get old very fast, especially if it's just a one-joke show. Hopefully, it's not.
Yeah, right now, it seems as if I am in a rut. Is that how you spell it? Or is it two t's? I don't know... anyway, it just seems like right now, it's the same ol' thing everyday. Get up, go to work, come home, eat, watch videos, attempt some housework... you get the picture. I guess a big reason is that some of the things I used to enjoy doing in the evenings aren't available anymore. First off, my favourite coffee shop is now closing everyday at 6pm. I know it's mostly a money decision, as they don't make too much money in the evenings, but it always used to be cool to just go there and kill time in the evenings. Sit on a couch there with a hot mug of coffee, with an empty paper tablet in front of me to write on in case I thought of anything. Usually, it would remain blank. But at least it was something to do! And one of my other favourite places, Steak n Shake... none of my favourite waitresses work the shifts they used to! I know, the place is still open in evenings and all, but some of the waitresses just add a whole level of "cool" to the place... you can sit there, joke and small talk with them, and they are just enjoyable! I would sometimes take friends there... sometimes, we would play games, and the waitresses would joke with us about the games, or sometimes even join in! It was just plain fun! Most of those waitresses are working day-shifts now, which is when I'm at work. So, going there in the evenings, when none of my waitresses are there, is just not that enjoyable anymore! So yeah, it's like I need something to do! Other than the usual routine, that is. Someplace where I can go, hang out, and just have fun!
Well, that's enough ranting for now. Time to do some enjoyable housework!
