It's one of those rare times for me... three day weekend! Yeah, I actually have a day off tomorrow, because of Veteran's Day. That means tonight, it's party time! Well, of course, for me, party time is most likely a Steak n Shake run, drink lots of coffee, and stay up late, so I can catch up on laundry and dishes. Boy, I live an exciting life, eh? Yesterday, Strike had a pseudo-birthday party... his birthday is actually next week, but one of our friends was coming into town this weekend, so he decided to celebrate yesterday. Lasagna flowed in abundance, as did the warm Pepsi, Smash Bros, and 3D Naruto game. Of course, there was also the football game, and Shadyside won. Jason and I went to Steak n Shake and hung out there for a while. After that, I went home and rooted on my Jayhawks for the end of their victory against Oklahoma State. Speaking of all thing Jayhawks, I finally broke down and got an order in for a Jayhawks football jersey! The only bad thing about it was that I wasn't able to customize the number on the jersey, but if it's the same number as the picture, it will be a #3 jersey, which is the number of star defensive player Aqib Talib, so I'll be satisfied with that number. Well, that's enough rambling for now... I was bored, so I thought I'd post on here while I had the chance. -- TG |

Well, the final score was 27-12, Shadyside. It was a bit closer than I thought it would be, but both teams kept it on the ground a good bit, and the clock just kept moving, so the quarters were over before you knew it. The game only lasted about 2 hours! Normally, it's at least 2 and a half! One thing I will mention, Shadyside needs to shore up their offensive line. There was some terrible blocking today, and they gave up several big sacks to River's D. If the line had played the way they normally do, the margin would have been much greater, but several miscues by the line forced a few punt situations for the Tigers. Next week, Shadyside has Newark Catholic at a location yet to be determined. The Tigers have never beaten NC in three attempts, so Shadyside has their work cut out for them. NC beat Danville 43-6 earlier, so after the newest computer projections come out, NC may very well be the favourite. Let's hope that Shadyside can play the game of their life next week. Oh, by the way, for those of you watching the national college football scene... YOUR KANSAS JAYHAWKS WIN AGAIN!!! They defeated Oklahoma State 43-28. They are currently #4 in the BCS, and with Ohio State losing to Illinois, guess who's going to be moving on up? Ok, here's your game update summary. Ah yes! What fun it is when you get a new toy! Yesterday, I finally broke down and got myself a brand spankin-new laptop! It is one pretty neat piece of machinery! The one downside? Windows Vista... that thing is so annoying! I haven't had much trouble with it so far, but I haven't really started doing anything serious on it, either, so it could be murderous down the road. However, this little thing has a bunch of cool features. Built-in webcam and microphone (can you say... TGBTV Channel 2?)... Virtual surround-sound Dolby 5.1... Widescreen LCD display... CD/DVD burner/player... a keyboard with a real, live Euro symbol key! Don't have to use the shift button or anything! And lots of other features that I haven't discovered yet. What am I going to use this for? Well, first, to familiarize myself with Vista... I've been offering technical support to a guy with Vista, and it's been a pain going into his computer blindly, since Vista has a bunch of stuff switched around, as well as all of the annoying quirks that have made the OS famous... YES, Allow that comment! :) Second, home has a ton of distractions. I've been wanting to try to get some of my personal work done, but the home can drag you away from that work in so many different ways. So, I've been meaning to take my work to a coffee shop, or Steak n Shake, during my offtime, and just relax there with my work in front of me... or anime... Third... LAN PARTIES!!! Well, mebbe not, but that always opens the possibility! After all, with a second computer in the house, other people who want to LAN with me don't have to drag their computer down! Now, I just need to find some games that I can LAN with! Well, time to go play with my new toy! Well, maybe I'll do some dishes... they need done. Well, ttyl! -- TG |

Well, it's a new month, and a new beginning! Time for a whole new set of WTF! This week, I'm not sure what I found here. I think it may be some sort of Japanese commercial, but I'm not sure if it's advertising a website, or something else... but it's enjoyable, if even pointless!
