Well, it's late Sunday night. I'm still up, working on some really tedious stuff that I am completely bored with, so I thought I'd take a little bit of time to write on here while I'm thinking about it. A lot of stuff has come to a close as of recently, which means it's time for a new beginning. I know, most people save that for the beginning of the new year, when they make their meaningless resolutions that they never keep, but as several things are coming to a close, I think now is the time to redirect some of my efforts. This past week, the haunted house I was working at wrapped up. Even though I only worked a couple days a week at this place, it took up enough time to where I could not get things done that normally I could. Some of those evenings would be reserved for cleaning and such, while early week evenings were normally spent at the gym. Well, since my cleaning evenings were taken away, my gym nights were mostly overtaken by cleaning and other work at the house. Needless to say, I had a great time at the haunted house, but I've gained back a bit of the weight that I had lost on the company's summer fitness program. Also, other projects had come up during the course of this time that took up most of my now early week cleaning time, so the house is fairly messy, as anybody can see on my webcam! :) Well, the haunted house is done, so I now have my late week evenings back. I am wrapping up several of the home projects I was working on, so very soon, I can get my extracurricular schedule back to how I want it to be. This upcoming week is going to be a tough one, just because of all of the wrapups I have to do concerning these other projects, but I feel next week, I will be back on track. My projected plans are as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday evenings, as well as Saturday mornings, are going to be spent at the gym. I feel I need to get at least four days a week in at the gym to get to my weight goal. I will try to "do a healthy" every day of the week, but I need at least four high-intensity workouts per week. Of course, Wednesday evenings and Sundays are dedicated to church, so that's that. Fridays seem to be a free evening, and Saturdays, for now, are going to be dedicated to high school football, at least until Shadyside either loses or goes to the state championship! I'm hoping to take an evening sometime this week, and just totally scrub my place up and down. I think it's due for a nice big cleaning! Then, I will try to force myself to do a little touchup every day, as to not let it get ahead of me. Once I get into a weekly routine, I think things will get much smoother for me, and I'll be able to accomplish so much more. I'm hoping to get my weight down, as well as be more motivated to stay busy with things, rather than just sitting idly around like I have done recently in my spare time. If all goes according to plan, I will be healthier, less stressed, and just overall in a better position than I have been in recently. Well, it's time for me to get back to work. I want to get to bed sometime tonight! At least I think my biological clock will get me up nice and early, as I don't think I've told it about daylight savings time yet! Catch y'all later! -- TG |

Wow... this was a really interesting game! If you caught my initial game post, the halftime score was 31-7. After the third quarter, Shadyside had increased its lead to 44-7. In the final quarter however, Steubenville CC made a furious comeback, scoring 21 unanswered points in about six minutes to come within 16 points. With a little bit of running time off the clock, and a great 4th down stand against SCC's offense, Shadyside secured a 44-28 victory. The Tigers will be moving on to play River in the Region 23 semifinals, at a location yet to be announced. Way to go, Tigers! If they play the way they did tonight for the first three quarters, it's back to the state championship! |

Wow, what a crazy few days it has been. There is so much to talk about, so this may be a pretty long blog. Of course, I am also pretty tired for reasons I am soon to explain, but we'll get to that. Just because of my tiredness, I may not write all that much, but you know how I love to ramble! Ok, on with the fun! Starting in reverse-chronological order... I just got back from the gym a little while ago, where I had a three-game racquetball set with Matt. After all this time, I finally scored a victory! Although it was almost not to be. In our first match (which each match is played to 15), I was up by a score of 14-5, when he started this crazy comeback where I just could not hit my shots, and before we knew it, I was only ahead 14-12! I finally got the serve back after a while, and got the final point to win by three. The next two sets, I lost, but I'm just happy I finally beat him once! It was a really weird set today, mainly because I was going on only two and a half hours of sleep, and he was fatigued from eating too much of my World-Famous Deep Dish Lasagna. Both the lack of sleep and lasagna lead in to the next item going back in time... Today was Food Day at work! I had promised to make my World-Famous Deep Dish Lasagna for the event, and sure enough, I delivered! I stayed up until about four in the morning getting the thing ready. Everybody was raving about it, even though it was probably the most fattening lasagna I've ever made! You see, I normally use ground chuck in my lasagna, which has an 85/15 lean/fat ratio. The smaller the second number, the less fat. This time, though, I used ground beef, which has a 73/27 ratio. Almost twice the fat in the beef! When I cooked the beef last night, I didn't mat or rinse it at all, which meant all of the juicy greasy goodness remained in and on the meat. Well, we all got a first-hand look at just how unhealthy it was for us, when somebody had to leave early before the food was actually served, so they cut out a corner piece of the lasagna to take with them. When this piece was cut out, the floodgates opened. That's right, all of the grease that was contained in the meat layer started flooding to that one corner, until there was a pond in that corner about two inches deep of pure grease! It was really disgusting, but the lasagna tasted SO good! It was so tasty and heavy, that people downed it, and immediately felt the drowsy effects of the comforting, artery-clogging fat. But why, you ask, did I wait until late at night to get to work on the lasagna? Well, it was because I didn't get home until about midnight after having to work the haunted house. In case you don't know, this Halloween season, I've been working at a haunted house in Bridgeport called the Westbrooke Asylum. It has been a total blast working there. After rotating around a couple different parts the first couple of nights, I fell into the part of Dr. Westbrooke, who is essentially the main guy of the house, even though he only appears in one room. Well, the people running the house liked me in that role so much, that they have refused to let me play any other part! Every time I have to work, I'm immediately stuck into that room! I'm not complaining about that, though, because I love the part. I get to scream a lot! It's fun! Some of the people I've worked with, as well, have been a total blast. I've met several new people, some of with which I am exchanging jokes, stories, and other friendly pleasantries. There is even one person whom I've befriended that can only be described as "awesome". Now, I don't use the word "awesome" to describe too many people. Maybe two or three others at the most. So when I meet somebody new that I say is awesome, it's really something. Well, that's enough for now. I know, I've still got a couple anime reviews to do, but I don't feel like doing them now. It's time for me to relax, and maybe fit in a bit of housework. See y'all later! -- TG |

This is unprecedented, but as per request, we are having one final WTF video as a tribute to a great, great man. Robert Goulet passed away yesterday while awaiting a lung transplant. I had seen the news story, but had not had the chance to comment on it. So, as a way to say goodbye, we're giving him one last shoutout and showing him starring in one of the best Super Bowl commercials of all time. RIP Robert Goulet. |
