Here at TGBob.com, we are very close to some new/used features! Obviously, the Ninja Wiki is fast approaching, but even faster is the new and improved TGBob.com Forum!!! The forum will be up very, very, very soon, and along with that, a brand new side panel! I will be doing some reorganizing of the options in the side panel, including making some of the panel's sections expandable and collapsable. That way, some room will be saved for when you're not using it.

So, all of this now begs the following question: What do we do with all of the old forum posts? You see, for all of you n00bs, this site used to have a forum that was eventually put aside when I redesigned and simplified the site. My goal during the redesign process was to get one thing in place (my blog) that I could update easily, and keep people coming back. That plan has succeeded, and I now have many regulars, some of which are posters, and others who just come and enjoy the scenery. Now that there is a regular attendance here, I felt it was time to bring the forum back, in an effort to give the regulars more stuff to do here, as well as get some fresh blood in the mix. But since I built my new forum off of my old forum's foundation, there are several old posts from years gone by that are sitting there. So, does anybody really have an interest in visiting these outdated topics, or should we purge them out of the system and start anew? I'll let you decide. Please vote in the poll below to let your voice be heard. And as usual, you can also leave me a comment about the thing.

Well, my "afterburner" chili was a big smash at work today! A lot of people were surprised at how hot it was, but nearly everybody who tried it ate a whole bowl of it! So, I guess it wasn't hot enough to totally throw people for a loop, but it had a big amount of spice to it!

There was only one person who couldn't handle it. This one lady, who refers to herself as "Phone Nazi" came up late, after the crock pot the chili was in had come unplugged. Our secretary told her to try a spoonful, so she did. She swallowed, and started to comment on how it wasn't warm (temperature-wise). Then, the afterburners kicked in, and she started puffing. She then screamed "Are you trying to kill the Phone Nazi?" I replied "I was wondering if it was going to kill somebody!"

The other people who ate their bowls had varying comments on the temperature. One lady said it was 7 out of 10 in spiciness. Another guy, who has a high tolerance for spicy foods, like myself, said 3 out of 10. Several other people commented on the sheer spiciness of the dish, including one lady who took the lid off, and got a spicy kick just from licking the sauce off of her fingers. One person even said it may be the best chili they ever had! My former manager said that he loves his wife's chili, but this batch is better.

So, all in all, my afterburner chili turned out awesome. It was very tasty, and also managed to soak the back of my head reasonably well.

Boy, am I going to be sore tomorrow!

Today was my first softball practice. It lasted three hours! I never thought it would be that long, but I had a good time nonetheless. I played mostly in the outfield, where I went between center and left fields. I had several balls hit my way, especially in left field, and I did pretty good all things considered. I caught several of the balls hit my way, and was able to field most that weren't fly balls. I did have a couple rookie bumbles, like kicking the ball when trying to field it, misjudging the length of the fly ball, and having it land either just in front or behind me, and such. While I was batting, I had a tough time judging the pitches, because it is slow pitch, and the ball has to arc in order to get across the plate. So, early on, a lot of the pitches I would swing at would be nowhere near the strike zone! But after a while, I started hitting a few, and even made a couple nice fly balls out into the open.

The biggest concern I had, as well as my teammates and other people, was how my shoulder would hold up. Well, I found that a sidearm throwing style, which I prefer over the standard overhand anyway, causes no pressure on my shoulder, and I can essentially throw with full force! And when batting, most of the pressure of the swing is on my left arm, so again, minimal problems with my shoulder while swinging! So, I may just be able to manage this softball thing!

I did have one overhand throw late in the evening, which hurt my shoulder big time. The pain calmed down after a bit, but just as precaution, I was more careful to only throw sidearm. Now, just to be safe from pain tonight, my shoulder is covered with Ben-Gay. Instead of the pain, I now have that fresh minty smell and tingling.

Let's see... what else is going on... oh yeah. Tomorrow is Food Day at work! I am making chili for the occassion. And of course, I'm making it extra spicy! I'm not sure how it's going to turn out, but judging by some of the ingredients I put in, it may just kill somebody! This is going to be fun!

Well, I've got some meat cooking on the stove right now, so I've got to go. Catch y'all later!

Figured this would be a good time to bust out some randomness, as I'm tripping on my happy pills right now, so here we go!

1) The Mexican restaurant near my workplace got raided today because of illegal immigrants. Go figure.

2) My neighbours downstairs have a new kitteh. It's black. The girl named it Snowball.

3) One of my old favourite Steak n Shake waitresses (who obviously doesn't work there anymore) is now working at the replacement coffee shop. Glad to see she remembered me!

4) Tomorrow is my first softball practice, and I still have shoulder pain. This will be interesting.

5) I've been slowing hacking away at my dirty dishes. Making some good progress, as I can only see one dish peeking up from above the sink line!

6) Somebody just signed on Trillian... wonder who it is...

7) New fun project I'm thinking of working on... Worldwide Graffiti Board...

8) I've had my new phone for about a week and a half now, and I still don't have all my numbers programmed in, and I'm too lazy to swap SIM cards.

9) My young neighbour downstairs met Adolph yesterday, and now every time I've come inside since then, Adolph would rush down the steps, and expectantly look for somebody else to come in.

10) American Idol was on last night, and Ramiele was in the audience! I started bouncing uncontrolably when I saw her.

11) I think every old Second Cup patron has migrated over to the replacement coffee shop. I've seen quite a few of the old regulars there, as well as a former employee!

12) This weather can't make up its mind. Below freezing in the morning, and 70+ in the late afternoon!

13) Yay! Extra randomness!

14) I need a new coffee pot. Not the whole maker, just the pot. I cracked it while washing it.

15) This has been a quick week so far... something going on every day.

16) E=mc^2....

17) Is it football season yet? At least I have the draft to look forward to.

18) That's all for now. Got to get my singing voice ready!

So, I'm utterly confused. I talked with my doctor yesterday, and according to the X-rays, there is nothing wrong with my shoulder. No separation or anything. This may sound like good news, but it could be bad, because the pain is very real, and ligament damage doesn't show up on X-rays. That may be what I have, something like a torn rotator cuff, or something else. Well, I was instructed by my doctor to take my happy pills until they're gone, and if the pain is still around, to come back in for additional tests. I'm hoping for the best.

Well, Thursday is going to be my first company softball practice! I'm really looking forward to getting on the field and seeing if I've still got it! Not that I've ever had it, to begin with, but you get the point! I'm going to have to take it a bit easy on my shoulder, though, so only some light throwing and swinging, until I gain some strength back in my shoulder.

Right now, I'm up my parents' house, getting ready to watch taped American Idol. I had an alumni meeting today, and that ran late for me, because I was showing off some alumni site upgrades to Robin, who is going to be doing a lot of updating on the site. Hopefully, we can get some fresh info up on that site, because it's needed some for quite a while! The new thing we've got on that site is a forum for alumni members, and some of the association members seem to be excited about that feature. Which reminds me... I really need to get the forum up on my site!

Speaking of websites, one new site I'm working on is a special site for my high school class reunion:

Shadyside98Reunion.com

It's still under construction, but I'm hoping to have it ready within the next couple of days.

Ok, I'm done ranting for now. Before I go, a quick shout-out to Melissa, an old classmate of mine who just joined the site today! Good to see you found this site, and hopefully, we can catch up at the reunion, if you're able to attend. Hope all is going well for you!
