  Time for a little randomness, except it's not so random... just some things I'm thinking of that's going on with me.

1) Looked at a house today! This thing is huge!

2) Twisted my ankle during softball practice, and could barely walk for about 24 hours.

3) Two words: NFL Draft (wait... is NFL a word or just an acronym?)

4) Been playing this boxing game on my cellphone... it's kind of a "Mike Tyson's Punchout" ripoff.

5) The new checks I ordered have the KU Jayhawk all over them! :)

6) Speaking of KU... and NFL Draft... Aqib Talib is projected to be a first round pick.

7) Winner so far for old forum posts... purge 'em.

8) My mind is racing with ideas on how to go about with this whole house thing.

9) The other day, I had probably an hour and a half long conversation... with an 11 year old. Sadly enough, it was if I was speaking with my own intelligence level...

10) Thank goodness I get paid this Wednesday... I'm almost broke!

11) Saturday may be day for Steak n Shake run, because I won't get to do my normal lunch there on Sunday.

12) Time to clean up some! Strike is on his way down to my place!

  Ugh... softball practice is killing me! And I'm enjoying every minute of it! :)

Our corporate team had another practice today, and although we didn't have quite the turnout of this past Thursday, we had enough people there to get a lot done. I did a little bit of 1st base, 2nd base, and outfield today, and didn't do too bad at any of the positions. There were the usual flub of missing a catch or screw up fielding a ball, but overall, I was much improved from the previous practice. Also, this time when I was batting, I think I made contact with the ball on all but one pitch in the strike zone. I even had one really nice hit that sailed over the outfielders' heads and almost to the fence. My goal was 10 homers, but I don't know if I'll be able to make that or not. I think I might settle into being more of a utility hitter, getting people to advance around the bases, and getting on base myself! But of course, with every practice, I usually hurt myself in some way. This time, I have a big knot in my left leg from a pulled muscle. I didn't let that affect my play, but boy does it hurt! I'm going to have to whip out the BenGay tonight!

Well, I just wanted to jot a bit down here. Got to go nurse myself up now! Catch y'all later!

  Ok, I'm not sure how to explain this one. Stop-motion animation. Drums and jungle music. Some story possibly about a deer being saved from an evil hourglass? Then a bear dances. 'Nuff said. Wait, I forgot to shout WTF! Oh, and enjoy!

  It's been a while since I've done one of these. Mostly because I just haven't had time to play many games online. But here's a decent puzzler for all y'all...

Play PORTAL: THE FLASH VERSION

This game is based off of a recent puzzle game called Portal that was included in The Orange Box boxset for XBox360. This game got rave reviews by the gaming community, to the point where one programmer loved it so much, he (or she) created a Flash version of the game! Now that's fan-dom, there!

There isn't much of a story to this game. You're locked in some sort of prison-like testing facility I think, and somebody decides to use you as a guinea pig and... give you a gun??? Well, not just any gun... a portal gun! It lets you shoot wormholes with which to reach the unreachable. Why somebody would entrust a guinea pig with a wormhole gun is beyond me, but I guess the higher-ups have a reason. Anywho, your one goal is to escape the room you're in, only to go to another room from which you must escape. You use your portal gun to help you get around obstacles and away from enemies and such. Oh, and I forgot to mention, your portal gun also doubles as a tractor beam, with which you can pick up anything (chopsticks, anyone?) and move it somewhere else. This ability also comes in handy to get out of the room.



This all may seem a bit stupid, but once you start getting into later levels, the puzzles of how to get out of the room start to get very challenging, and some require a little bit of trial and error and a lot of thought to get them right. There are 40 rooms in all, and once you get out of the last room, you are given the greatest reward a man can be given! I'll leave it to you to beat the game and find out what that reward is! :)
