Time for a pretty random post. Not exactly a classic randomness, but here's just some stuff on my mind, since I have nothing really major to write about, and I haven't posted a true blog in a while.

Let's see, first of all, I've been slightly depressed lately. Not the clinical depression that we all know and love, but just been on a bit of a downer. The past couple of days, I've been worried about a very special person who is having some problems right now. I'm not going to go into details, because I don't think it's my place to discuss it, but in case anybody has seen me lately and noticed me being down, that's why.

Today, we got a bit of snow, but no accumulation. It was all mixed in with the rain we got, but there was snow nonetheless. This brought me down a bit, because the last time we had our first snow, I was sitting in Second Cup Cafe enjoying a hot cocoa. Now that place has been gone for a while, I can no longer enjoy the first snow like I once did. Ugh.

Speaking of coffee shops, I've decided that West Virginia sucks when it comes to coffee shops. You see, I've been searching for a new coffee shop, and there are a couple smaller places, but haven't been a fan of any I've found. So, I went looking for a coffee shop, and since there were none nearby in Ohio, I had to resort looking for a shop in WV. What I failed to realize, though, is that just about every "coffee shop" labeled as such is not really a coffee shop but just a cover for a gambling parlour. One such search led me to this one tiny "coffee shop" recently, and in big letters on the front, there were the words "Coffee Shop", so one would assume that there would be coffee present. So, I stopped in for a cup, and wouldn't you know it, the place was rancid with the smell of cigarette smoke and shame. I went up to the counter and asked for a coffee, though, and the lady working turned around to look at a run down coffee pot that was just sitting there empty. At this, I just said "never mind" and walked out. So, I'm not sure if I should even search out a coffee shop around here, since most will just be a gambling parlour or my expectations will be crushed if and when the new place I find does not live up to the standards of Second Cup.

Well, I'm out of stuff to talk about, and it's late. So, for no apparent reason, I leave you with a vid of a cute kitten playing! Enjoy!

Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.

Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours.

Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, three children: Jo hn Dough, Jane Dough and Dosey Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart.

The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

If this made you smile for even a brief second, please rise to the occasion and take time to pass it on and share that smile with someone else who may be having a crumby day and kneads a lift.

Glad to know that this took your mind off of Wall Street and the economy if only for a moment!

This week, since Halloween is fast approaching, I decided to go with a video containing what would amount to two popular costumes fighting each other. I know this is from a popular tv show, but you have to admit, for an intergalactic space captain and an evil anthropomorphic lizard alien, these two do not know how to fight! So, enjoy!
