It's too late to do a standard post, but since it's been a while since I've posted something other than videos, I might as well do some randomness!

1) I've been playing the Clannad visual novel, and after only two days of knowing her, Nagisa is asking me to move in! Man, for a shy girl, she sure moves fast!

2) Tomorrow after work, I'm going to see Watchmen with some buddies from work. Before that, we're going to eat at a place called Chapz. I was there once when the place when it was a Mexican restaurant. Now, it's a grill & bar.

3) Got my wedding outfit in the mail finally! Can't wait until June!

4) Talked to the Japanese lady at worked the other day, and our conversation let to her trying to convince me that I need to take a trip to Japan. As if I needed convincing, though! ;)

5) I gathered up some loose change I had laying around the house, and took it to a Coinstar machine at Walmart. Got almost $30 out of it!

6) I just realized I have a load of laundry I need to dry. That's more time I could be sleeping!

7) Busy week next week! I've got a full plate at work, an independent project meeting on Thursday, then Saturday, White Day!

8) Adolph is howling again. Boy, is she demanding!

9) We had our official weigh-in this past Wednesday for our work weight-loss contest. I'm now down 14.5 pounds!

10) Now Adolph is in here crying. I think she wants to go to bed!

11) I visited Huddle House this evening, and found out that one of my favourite waitresses there had quit! I'm now down to one favourite there! Man, my group of favourite waitresses is really slimming down at all of my places!

12) One more day of work left. Then, relaxation!

Greetings, clubbers, and welcome to another edition of WTF Video of the Week! For this week, I found this video for a very strange world record attempt: Best Bouncer in the World. And how do we determine if you are a good bouncer? By judging how far you can throw another human! Seriously, WTF? They will make a record for anything nowadays!

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted! I'll admit, the past week or so has been really bad. I have been lacking a significant amount of sleep, despite my best efforts to get a normal night's worth every night. For a couple nights there, I had only gotten a couple hours at the most. Wednesday and Thursday nights especially were tough, as I maybe got five hours of sleep at the most between the two nights combined. Even the people at my work could see I was dragging, and were expressing an extraordinary amount of concern for my well-being. That was nice of them!

But finally this weekend, I got a lot of overdue sleep, including Saturday night/Sunday morning, when I had probably the best rest I've had in several years! You see, that night, I decided to try out some Tylenol PM, not only for the sleeping, but for some muscle aches I was experiencing at that time. I knew I wouldn't be able to get a decent sleep in pain. So I tried a couple of those pills, and the next morning, I awoke to probably the most rested feeling in a long time. For those of you who actually get a decent rest, this may have become commonplace, but you know how in the morning, you will feel that tingling sensation through every inch of your body? That feeling of just being ready to start the day? I had forgotten what that had felt like, and boy, was I happy to experience that pure bliss of good rest! I could definitely see how people could get addicted to that stuff, and I'll have you know, that was the only night I've taken it thus far. But I'm keeping it around as a last resort, when I am feeling so absolutely drained, that only a perfect night's sleep will cure me.

** On a side note, no, that was NOT one of those paid advertisement blogs! Still not making money on this site! ;p

Continuing on, right now, I'm sitting in the dark in my bedroom writing this. Why? Because I can't figure out how to change the freaking lightbulb! The light burned out last night, so I thought it was no big deal. Just need to get up there and change the lightbulb! Unfortunately, my bedroom ceiling is quite high, so just standing on a chair would not do. I had to go down into my basement and bring up the ladder. Just to get to my light fixture, I had to be standing on the last possible rung of the ladder, short of standing on top of the pinnacle! Well, I get up there, putting the balance I acquired while doing Yoga on my Wii Fit to good use, and I'm feeling around the sides of the fixture. Lo and behold, I can't find any screws to unfasten the globe.

Before I go any further, let me describe this globe, so you all know what I'm dealing with. The base of the globe is a metal strip, about an inch and a half in depth. The glass globe part of the fixture protrudes maybe a half an inch from the bottom of the metal base, and the edges of the globe are level with the edge of the metal. So, in summary, it's kind of like a metal ring, with the start of a bubble being blown out of the one side. Hope that helps with the whole mental picture!

Now, back to the story... where was I?... Ah yes, the screws! There were none! So I thought maybe the globe part of the fixture would just unscrew from the base. No luck there. I tried with "most" of my might trying to twist the glass, but to no avail. So, the next thought of my mind was that maybe the metal base unscrewed from an extra base hidden beneath the rest of the fixture. So, I started twisting the base, and felt it start to give a little bit. After an extra bit of coaxing, I finally felt that part give way and come loose. So, I pulled down the unfastened part, and what do I see? Wires. That's right, I pretty much removed the entire fixture from the ceiling! The lightbulb I was searching for was still trapped inside of that globe, only now, I was left with another problem... trying to get the whole fixture reattached to the ceiling! After about five minutes of fighting with the thing, I finally got the fixture put back into place for the most part. There may still be one side that's not completely reattached, and I'm waiting for the whole thing to come crashing down on my head at any given moment. I will probably be back up on the ladder tonight, trying to solve this puzzle, but at this point, I'm not having high hopes. Who'd have thought I would be done in by a stupid lightbulb?
