So, it's finally almost the weekend. 'Bout time! This has been one of the most stressful weeks I've had in recent memory, mostly due to my work schedule. Not that I've had extra hours to put in, but the density of work within the given time parameters has been monumental, to say the least. The big deadline is tomorrow, and I am really hoping I can pull this project off, or at the very least get enough done to satisfy the masses! And instead of getting to bed at a decent time so I can be well rested for the challenge ahead, I am still awake, writing this blog post!
It has now been officially one month since I've been on this winter wellness program. The result thus far? Seven pounds. I had been down ten, but Super Bowl Sunday had some say in the reduced quantity of weight lost. At least I've lost weight consistently and steadily, the way it should be done. The biggest change I've made has been portion control. I'm eating smaller amounts, closer to normal serving sizes, and actually eating something that resembles breakfast!
One other thing I've been doing is this weekly fitness class, where each week, we do a different type of exercise. Last week was pilates, and this week was cardio kickboxing! Wnen the instructor was putting in the music for the class, I turned to one of my work buddies, Matt, and started making this fast-paced techno beat I do with my voice... that "oo-chh-oo-chh-oo-chh-oo-chh" noise... and he just kind of laughed and shook his head at that, as if to signal that it would be crazy if that were the case. Once the music started coming out of the radio, though, the noise we heard starting up was none other than the "oo-chh-oo-chh-oo-chh-oo-chh" noise I had just been making! Matt and I just looked at each other and busted out laughing. Man, did that kickboxing kick our butts!
Well, I better call it a night. Got one MySpace message to write, and then it's off to bed. So, I'll catch y'all later!
