	RANDOMNESS TO START THE WEEK...

Here I am, sitting at Panera, and I feel like doing some Randomness while I'm here... so, here we go!

1) I never noticed it before, but at this particular Panera, one big section of the ceiling is angled apart from the rest of the ceiling, and looks like it's going to fall down!

2) The other day while I was driving home, I think I saw one of the following, though I'm not sure which... a nutjob, a time-traveler, or a prophet... there was a guy walking the highway in a biblical-styled robe, wearing a big flowing hat, carrying a rod with a large emblem of a cross on the top.

3) I'm thinking that I got my spam filter to catch almost everything that is spam now... but it's still catching stuff that isn't spam, too!

4) Saw Star Trek this past weekend... WAY better than Wolverine!

5) Still debating on whether or not to go see Terminator this weekend. There's so much other stuff I could be doing!

6) My coffee cup is almost empty... may need a refill here in a second... nevermind, I'm going to go get it now!

7) Ok, I'm back!

8) Hung out with my friend, Ben, the other day... he took a picture of me wearing my samurai/rice-field hat... it looks awesome! I need to get a copy of that pic!

9) Speaking of my samurai/rice-field hat, I remember sirgryfang saying something about taking a picture of me with that hat while I was sleeping and saying it looked like I was a war casualty... I still haven't seen that pic yet, but want to!

10) I'm thinking I need to resume work on my talking head program.

11) I don't know how many people these past few days asked me whether or not I still had a job. Everybody heard the doom-and-gloom news report of my company, and feared for me apparently.

12) I finally just noticed the wall outlets here at Panera! And here, I thought that I had to go solely on battery power on my laptop! Guess next time I come here, I'll have to bring my plug!

( I knew they were gonna mess it up, but come *on* people--eye lasers?? My brother was *joking* when he said that, honestly! and when he said "Gambit will fly", too. *Not* serious. Don't listen to that man. )

Then you should watch the following after your eyes regenerate. Because Deadpool (the real one) is the MAN. And people wonder why all my RPG characters are insane. :: sigh :: Role models, people! Pay attention! [but not to me, I'm rambling again.]

	SOME SITE UPDATES

Well, it looks like the recent site updates have been welcomed with open arms. I'm glad! But of course, why should I stop there? Not that I'm adding anything as major as the Member Board area, but some small tweaks are in order, as well as a couple other small additions that will help promote some areas of the site.

First off, I'm going to be making a modification to the refreshing of the side bar. Normally, it auto-refreshes every five minutes, but with the introduction of the Member Board, and the "New Messages" notification that displays when you're logged in, I decided I need a little mod on that refresher. Since your messages are marked as viewed when you visit your own Member Board, I'm going to make it so that when you visit your own Member Board, the side bar will refresh, so that the New Messages dialogue will be cleared.

Another thing I'm thinking about adding is some sort of Marquee that will display recent updates, like most recent forum post, newest member, featured member, and other stuff, just to give people a broader perspective of the site. I don't know if I want to do the scrolling marquee, as that tends to be kind of tacky, but maybe some sort of rotating headline box in the side bar. I need your opinions on this, so leave me some comments!

Finally, I know I like to brag about member counts, but there are a lot of inactive members, some who have not visited the site in years! So, I'm slightly modifying my contact policy to allow me to send an email to members who have not logged in in over six months to see if they want to keep their account. I know I like having a lot of members, but what good does it do me if I have 100 members and 96 of them don't visit the site? So, over the next couple of days, these inactive users will be receiving an email to see if they want to continue their account. If I receive no response, their account will be deactivated. It's nothing against these members, I just want a more accurate count of how many real members I have.

There will be a couple other small changes here and there, but as always, I appreciate your feedback, comments, questions, and suggestions. Keep 'em coming!

Ok, time for part two of the previous thread... before I go to bed...

So, in other news, not much really going on. I've been watching a lot of new anime, and one that has really got to me is K-On!. I don't know what it is about this series, because all it is is a bunch of utter cuteness... not really any life or death struggles or anything that really challenges you mentally. Just cute girls in another school-club anime. But seriously, what is up with Kyoto Animation doing all of these club anime? Haruhi, Clannad, now K-On!, they must really like this sub-genre. Anywho, the most recent episode was by far, the most awesome episode of the series so far... epic lighting, Yui losing her voice after practicing, more scared-Mio moments, and the most awesome Sensei ever! Playing Yui's guitar with her teeth! Wow... just... wow...

Speaking of Yui's guitar, I was watching American Idol the other day, and Taylor Hicks was performing live during an elimination round. While he was singing, he was playing a guitar. While watching the performance, I was thinking "Isn't that guitar the same model that Yui uses?" I still have to do research on it.

But back to the anime stuff... this most recent episode of K-On! seemed to be about parodying several other styles of anime... it was funny just to watch all these scenes, and recall other anime that used similar styles, just in a serious way. Oh, and the most awful-awesome song title ever: "Light and Fluffy Time"!

Ok, so I'm stopping now! I've got to get to bed! Catch y'all later!
