Greetings, nature lovers, and welcome to another edition of WTF Video of the Week! For this week's entry, I found this video of a double rainbow! Now, what could be so WTF-worthy about this video? Well, it's all about the three and a half minutes of reaction to the double rainbow. Now, I'm one who can appreciate the beauties of nature. Sometimes, I guess you could even call me overwhelmed by something I see. But this guy's reaction is the most bizarre, over-the-top reaction I've ever seen to a rainbow. I was just sitting there, thinking WTF more and more as the reaction just kept getting more and more outlandish. Enjoy!

Well, it's that time of year again... I made the annual trip to North Carolina for the July 4th holiday. The trip itself was pretty uneventful, although I did almost get sideswiped by a possibly drunk driver, and I felt for a bit as if I was dozing off, but I was fine once I got some caffeine in me.

Just some notes on the trip:

First, another rung has been added to the lost-all-faith-in-humanity ladder. While I stopped at this gas station in Bland, VA, there was this woman who was getting ready to come out of the gas station right when I was ready to go in. So, I did the "nice" thing, and held the door for her. Not only did she not say "thank you", but she didn't even acknowledge my existence; she just walked through without a single sign of gratitude. Now, I know that I don't do this because I want to be praised... I do it because it's the polite thing to do, and it really ticks me off when somebody is too self-righteous to at least acknowledge a kind deed. What if I didn't hold the door open, but instead, barged in and barrelled over her and her kids... maybe then, she would have actually noticed a deed, although she may have not have been as gracious.

Second, right off the bat, I have a round of golf tomorrow morning... teeing off at 7:30... which means I'll have to wake up at around 6:00. For a day where I'm usually getting in from Huddle House fun around 4:00 am, waking up at 6 is going to be a rough change.

So, I can't think of anything else to write now, so I'll leave now. Catch y'all later.

Greetings all! It's been a while since I've written a nice blog post on here, but I've got a couple stories for y'all, so I'll start with this one.

For anyone who wasn't aware of it, we actually had an earthquake in our area this past Wednesday! I wasn't sure what to think of it at first, since I wasn't even really aware that an earthquake was what it was. It happened around 1:45PM, while I was at work. I work in one of the taller buildings in Wheeling, on the 8th floor, so I was somewhat high up. Right before the tremor occurred, I was deep in thought at my computer desk, trying to think of a solution to a programming issue. I was pretty stumped, so I was concentrating a bit harder, and placed my head in my hand.

Shortly after I did this, I could feel the arm that was holding my head start swaying in circles. I thought it was a bout of vertigo, as I had experienced a vertigo attack just the prior day, and I still wasn't feeling all that great, so I just kept my eyes closed and waited for the swaying feeling to stop. After it did stop, I started to get back to work, when I heard one of my coworkers ask if anybody else just felt that, and said he thought we had just had an earthquake.

This coworker had just experienced the same swaying feeling, and he had looked up from his computer to see his blinds swaying back and forth. He also looked out the window to see that the taller buildings had a light, but noticeable sway to them. I then spoke up and said that I had felt the swaying as well, although I had initially thought it was my vertigo.

After our chat, I texted a message to my social networking accounts talking about how we had possibly just had an earthquake. Within a minute of posting the message, I got a reply from a former coworker who now works a few blocks away from me. She said that she and her coworkers had also felt the tremors. Shortly after that, many more people started confirming the tremors; some confirmed through my Facebook account, some of my coworkers got calls from other people in the area telling the same thing, and eventually the news stations all started reporting on the tremors.

A 5.0 earthquake had occurred somewhere in Canada, and the shocks had reached us. Although it wasn't very strong in the area, it was enough to rock several buildings, including a courthouse in Steubenville where pictures began falling off walls, and the Mull Center in downtown Wheeling... the former was evacuated officially, while the Mull Center workers took it upon themselves to get out of their building. Our building was not evacuated, but it did make some people a tad nervous, although the general mood in my office was one of excitement and wonder, as an earthquake that can be felt is extremely rare in this area.

Well, that pretty much does it for this story. I'll have more stories later. Right now, I need to get to making plans for tonight. Catch y'all later!

Greetings, members of the int3rw3bs, and welcome to another edition of WTF Video of the Week! For this week, I decided to go with everybody's addiction: Facebook! This video is a mind-fragging representation of what Facebook would be like in real life, and the results are WTF-worthy... well, maybe it's not the results themselves as opposed to the absurdity of the vid. Enjoy!
