Grrrr. It's been a while since I've updated here, mostly nothing intereting going on or at least nothing 'fun'. Last couple days have been rather vbad, actually, so I'm going to rant here for a bit.

1) Yesterday, I get to work on time (for a change), login and clock in, and then discover that all the Verizon tools won't let me log in, and won't admit my ID # exists in order to change my login pwd. So I call someone over, they try the same things I've already tried, can't get it to work, and tell me to take the day off. Grar! taking days off is ok when *I* want the day off, but when I'm actually ready to work.... very not happy. Plus I don't get paid.

2) So today I get to work on time... and my keycard doesn't open the door. Again, WTF and what am I supposed to do about it? My supervisor had given me some #s to call in case of weirdness or not-my-fault issues with getting to work on time, but I have to go back home to get it because somehow it ended up stuck to the fridge instead of in my wallet. So I call them up and they pretty much say 'ignore security because nobody pays attention to it and you're an employee." Alright, fine, whatever. At least now I have permission to break the rules. So I go back to work, I'm an hour late (my fault, but not really, but it is) and just having a bad day.

3) Everything works now, except one program that hasn't let me login for a week or so, oh and also another one won't let me in either. Only needed that once today; the other time I would have used it, I was able to check the same thing in a second program.

4) Was eventually able to talk to my supervisor about this stuff; he gave me a new pwd for the program that's not been working for a week-ish (still doesn't work, btw, need to ask him about it again) and I found out that I need to go to HR for a new keycard since they finally got my photo ID replaced. Still have to wait for the other login to get fixed. And I still want to punch something in the face.

5) PS: I'm being forced to take Memorial Day off and work on Weds instead. I was supposed to hang out with people Weds evening! Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll let me out early... or maybe Tim won't be able to make it either and we'll reschedule for the 8th instead... If I can find a ride back I'll be around for TGB's cookout, but I don't have gas $$ for that right now :( :( :( I'm already pretty over-budget for this current month, and I just had an enforced unpaid day, so... can't afford it at this point. If I *can* get a ride back I'll let you know soonest!

6) Oh, and on the subject of today not being good... most of my calls went long again. Had a few that weren't, but had more than one in the 30-60 minute range. Think I only had 1 dispatch, which helps I guess. Think I had about 20 calls, even considering it wasn't a 8 hr day that's still low.

7) Haven't been walking in over a week, possibly since the 8th. Going to go out tonight whether Jason goes with me or not.

Since I never get to reference two songs at the same time... 15 points to anyone who knows both songs. [Wow, google actually works for a change... so no points if you have to look it up.]

Now, in no particular order:

1) Went walking for 68 minutes w/ Jason tongiht. It's been a week since we've walked, so now I'm sore. Think I only got my plse up to 110 (if that) so this doesn't really count as cardio. (Burn it with blue fire.)

2) New keyboard--it's ultra-thin, really not sure what I think of it. At least it doesn't have half the space key replaced with a backsspace button that was sticking (even though I never used it).

3) There is a mushroom growing from my bathroom floor. WTF. I took a picture for proof. The lighting sucks. O.O o.o x_x

4) Finally finished Clannad last night. During one of our few breaks between episodes, Lucy reserved the right to kill me for making her watch it.

5) PS: She didn't have work today, so she was left at home to cry to herself in a corner.

6) Or watch shoujo, apparently. She opted for the latter.

7) Tonight she said she won't kill me, she wants to keep me around in case of zombies.

9) I cried a little at the usual spot. I love that show ^_^

10) Afterwards, we watched the movie just because it has a better ending (although they totally murder Nagisa's character design. For once, I disapprove of the 80s.)

11) Cried again on my way to work this morning; only partly because BSS often makes me cry. (Found a burnt disc that has some great songs back-to-back-to-back)

12) I think I'm mostly over the bad parts now, though. Went through it well enough the first time, I guess; there's not very much unprocessed there. That's good to know. It's still Really Sad!

13) Still want to try digging up my old diaries to see if I can get a rough guess on how long it took me to get over it the first time, though. Plus, I don't remember whne exactly I saw it the first time, and it's been long enough I'd like to check myself for anniversary syndrome.

14) Had a better day at work than I've had in some time--talked some with my new sup (apparently I got an auto-fail QA since I missed something with the new QA stuff) and he's pushing me to get shorter call times... had a great start to the day, really not sure how it ended though. But overall it was good. Wonder what tomorrow will bring...

15) Nearly forgot! My space heater died last night. No idea what it is doing, but what it ISN'T doing is a) spinning the fan b) producing heat. The power light is on, the thermostat clicks, and I even tried it on a different outlet (though the power light is on so thats not the problem). I'm gonna have to go through my trash and see if the receipt is still there, and then try getting it fixed via limited warranty, I guess.

16) Side note--for once, I think tEG's recent cover of "King Planet" is actaully *worse* than the original Mortal/FoldZan song... Normally I prefer Joey's versions to Jyro's originals.

...OK, I think that's all the New Randomness I've got; the rest of it seems to be recycled >_> Laters all!

1) Tim came out to visit Lucy late Weds, so we got stuck at the end of episode 16. 8 more to go! I haven't started crying yet, but Lucy was crying when Tim showed up. Sunday eve we should get to wrap things up. Hopefully I'll be awake for it, heh.

2) I didn't cry, but it still hurt. Almost like I can tell I'm healed (if scarred) from the first time, but having been through it before did help.

3) Applying for a "desktop engineer" IT position at work. Got that turned in today, was warned that they're getting lots of applications for it... so prayer appreciated that I can see God at work whether I get it or not. I'm getting really tired of answering phones :<

4) Haven't done any more webpage work in a while, and looks like I may still not get anything else done till Clannad gets wrapped up.

5) Brought a box of my CDs back with me from my last visit to Shadyside, so now I have a few more optinos on listening in my car to/from work :)

As a trained musician/singer (well, self-trained mostly), when one prepares to sing, it's good to do some vocal exercises to loosen your vocal cords, and make sure you're in tune! This technique also applies to death metal singers! Watch this demonstration, and be amazed!
