[It's just that I want them ailve]

(That was one of the titles I'd wanted to use last month or so and couldn't remember; so I'm using it now instead. It doesn't really apply anymore.)

Hm, so 8 or 9 days since my last post? That's not too bad.

I've been through one set of 4-straight-days working, now I get a weird on-off-on-off-on-on-off-on-off cycle before I have to deal with 4 in a row again, though at least one of those is going to have too much driving to count towards relaxation.

Today was pretty good; slept in 2 hours, got my computers moved up here and my room straightened a little... still haven't done anything towards getting a different job but at least I can wrap up a few loose ends with Jason's webpage.

Contemplating shuffling harddrives around again, not only because I'm trying to consolidate these computers before I get a gaming machine but also because I haven't gotten filesharing to work yet. Stupid Linux user/file permissions! >:(
Once I get that done though, I should be able to test out video editing on this machine. That'll give me something else to burn my free time on ^_^

Went to the store, didn't really have dinner though. May have to go back after work tomorrow, depending on what else gets eaten today. Somehow burnt a couple hours wrapping up Portal when Lucy got stuck... and now tis mostly bedtime. Pfah. Still have to get my clothes out of the dryer...

Still a bit lost, but today was rather relaxing. Still enjoying the early nightfall, which seems to give me an extra hour of evening in which to Get Stuff Done :)
Hoping to use Tuesday for wrapping up some more things on my list!

[though the world will turn and stars will fade]

Seems like I only write when I'm upset about something anymore -sigh- (PS: no 'upset' mood listed. Not that we have to have all of them ^_- )

So I got paid earlier this week, replaced my winter coat with one that was only 80% down fill (most I could find, sad) and is crinkly-sounding for some reason, and was planning on having a lot of fun this upcoming Sun/Weds for my birthday... when my sup asks me today if I want to swap my Tues off for Thanksgiving off.

WTF, says I, not only did I get Thanksgiving off approved earlier, but I works Tues, thank you very much.

No you don't, says my sup. Check it. They must have ignored it when I said you didn't want your schedule shifted.

...

So that leaves me in a bad position. Not only has Weds evening been hang-out night (every other week with plans for the alternate wedsneses) but I made plans to meet people this Sun for ice cream assuming that I'd be able to meet everyone else on Weds for birthday partyness. So now I have to redo logistics for this Weds, AND redo logistics for the day before Thanksgiving, AND figure out how long I can survive four days in a row of this job. I know 5 days in a row would kill me (well, I'd just give up at the job and that's synonymous) and I'm kinda uncertain about 4 in a row:
One day off, one day on, one day off seems like it's just teasing me.

That answers one question I had though--I'm gonna count my "one year of working there" from when training started instead of from when I started taking calls; for that matter, I now have more incentive to find a job on my days off. Somehow. Working afternoons is a huge disadvantage right now, because I can't sleep in and do ANYTHING that involves normal business hours, much less feel awake for an interview.
Grr.

Tim needs to get a job so I can take a turn being unemployed for a bit v.v

So, back to Weds plans: I have 1 vote for ice cream on Sunday anyway; 1 vote for visiting on Tuesday, 1 'Sunday instead of Weds is ok too', and 1 undecided. So I may leave Sunday plans intact and just visit on Tues instead of Weds.

And now it's 1AM so I'm gonna go pretend to do something for an hour then try to sleep.

  Greetings everybody!

A few of you may remember the old days of TGBob.com... The monochrome background, the blocky logo, the inconsistent posting by yours truly... well, at least some of these have changed! Anyway, my point is, a few of you have been members here for a long time, and have seen the site change throughout the years to the entity you see now. But for the past four and a half years, the site has maintained the same basic format. Yes, we've had additions made to the site, but the same basic look and feel of the site has remained virtually the same.

That is about to change.

I've been alluding to this for a while, but here is the official announcement. I will soon be launching a new version of TGBob.com! Now, before any of you jump off the deep end, I will let you know that graphically, there won't be much of a change. I quite like the gradiated blue-to-black background, and the logo placement. That won't change. But, the biggest changes will come with the side panel, as it will be expanded to handle more functionality. I know what you're thinking. More buttons. Well, there will definitely be some more options available in the side menu, but that won't be all. I'm wanting to make the site flow a lot cleaner and smoother, like Big Rog after a fresh bath. With that in mind, I will be completely eliminating the pop-up functionality from the site, including the comments and guestbook. Instead, when you go to comment on something, the side panel will handle the capabilities. That's just one aspect of what I have planned. But basically, the side panel will now have more responsibilities than in the past, especially since it will be handling some of the newest features coming up.

Also coming up in the new version will be the inclusion of several new social aspects, including friend lists, new privacy settings and content management, and status updates, which you will be able to update using your cell phone! The content management (which Strike will probably be most excited about, methinks) will give you full power over what you can do with data you post, and who can see your data. You will have the ability to create lists to divide your friends into, and give them and other members or visitors special rights to your content, including which groups can see your content, comment on your content, etc. Going with this, I will be creating a special tagging system for the cell phone status updates, so you can post statuses to only select groups, all through a simple text message.

So, you are probably asking when this will all come about. Look for the new version of TGBob.com on January 1, 2012! In the meantime, if you have any additional suggestions for other things I should include in this release, please post them in the comments. I thank you in advance for your input!

So... It's once again been a while since I've posted. (drink) I guess it's time for an update of sorts. Not sure what all I have to update you on, so I'll just start rattling off random stuff until I feel like wrapping up!

Well, I guess the first thing I should mention is I recently got a new kitten! Her name is Pippi, and she is a rather tiny six-month old calico. From what I've been told by her old owners, her mother didn't get too big, so she is probably going to remain a small cat. Of course, both Red and Big Rog (especially Big Rog) dwarf her! But luckily, they have taken a liking to her, and both of my aforementioned cats love playing with her.

I did have to get Pippi spayed a couple weeks ago, and unfortunately, she would not keep her protective "cone of shame" on, and ended up ripping out her stitches. Luckily, the vet had sewed her up on both the inside and outside, so she only managed to get the outside stitches. That still required a trip to the Animal Urgent Care last Tuesday, though, and she ended up getting a few staples put in her, as well as some antibiotics. I finally got the cone to stay on, as well, and although she struggled with it on for the first couple of days, she has gotten used to wearing the thing, and has even managed to resume her normal "barrelling through the house at high speeds"!

Let's see... what else do I have to talk about... Well, I survived my trip to Tampa! Despite being down there for work, I had a pretty good time. My free time consisted mostly of watching TV, hanging pool-side, and eating at a wide range of restaurants. I even managed a trip to Hooters, where I had the absolute most adorable waitress! <3 I also ate at a Japanese restaurant called Oishi... Yes, it lived up to its name! ^_^ I came back from the trip with a mind ready to explode from all the knowledge I received while down there. And, I got back in time to attend a football game and the Renaissance Festival!

I guess next on the list would be to talk about the Renaissance Festival! I ended up going just about every weekend this year, including a couple times by myself! There were a lot of great acts, as usual, and I got to do a lot of filming this year. In fact, I've still got several videos to post that I just haven't been able to get to yet due to being so busy. One of my favourite days, though, was going on Labor Day. The weather conditions were absolutely horrible that day, and very few people showed up for the fest. But that gave me, and the diehards that did show up, free run of the place, and I did not have to fight any crowds at all. Plus, since all of the vendors and performers had a lot of downtime due to the elements and lack of people, I got to chat with several great people I wouldn't normally have time to talk to. So, I guess stay tuned for additional videos coming soon!

Well, that's all I have for now. I'll try my best to post here more often, but as of late, things have been so hectic, I haven't had too much time to do anything here. I have been working on some changes to the site, so you have that to look forward to! Well, I'll catch y'all later!
