Tomorrow is the day when I head down to Carolina for a week! I can't wait to get down there! I am in desperate need of a break from everything. Not that I don't enjoy everything up here, but I need a change of scenery. A break away from all the stresses of every day life. A week away from work. A week away from answering tons of emails! A week away from the clockwork routine I've fallen into. It's going to be very nice to take a break!
Of course, I have to put in a half-day of work tomorrow before I head down. I really hope it's not that bad tomorrow. Then, it's probably a quick stop at the coffee shop for some... um... coffee, then to Bellaire to pick up some Gulla sauce and other supplies, and then load up the car and I'm off! My mom and I are heading down in her car, and we're taking Tiny with us. That will be an adventure! Trying to keep control over a min-pin for a 6 to 7 hour trip. Fun, fun!
Saturday will be the football game! Mike and I will be going to the Meineke Car Care Bowl, which is formerly the Continental Tire Bowl, and will be played at Bank of America Stadium. Gotta love naming rights, huh? The game will put Boston College against Navy. Methinks both Mike and I will be rooting for Navy, mainly because of the option offense they run. Hope it's a good game!
Sunday will be church, New Year's Eve, and my b-day! Too much to do that day! I know I'll probably be awakened a few minutes before 6:33 am, so I can be awake to see the coming of the exact minute when I was born! Yay. It's a yearly tradition, I guess. Hey, it gets me out of bed and into a cup of coffee! Can't ask for more than that!
After all that, I don't know what my schedule is for when I'm down there. I will probably be coming home either Friday or Saturday, but in between, plans are all up in the air! Just the way I like it! I can't wait until there's nothing to do! A couple of things I do know about the trip. I'm hoping to play a lot of video games. I'm taking the games I got for Xmas down there, so I can get some good playing time in. Plus, Mike and I will probably go head to head in a bunch of sports games. I've got his number when it comes to Madden. He's got mine in just about everything else! Also, while I'm down there, I plan on not touching a computer unless absolutely necessary! I will have absolutely no email contact with anybody, and the only times I will be on are to either fix a problem with the system, or check my MySpace account, oh, and my fantasy football team! My team's in the championship this weekend, so I've got to make sure I have everybody in place for that! Other than that, no computer touching whatsoever!
Well, that's all for now. If I do check my MySpace account from down there, I will post another blog to let everybody know howzitgoes. Other than that, everybody have a happy new year!
