Played some more racquetball today... well, it's yesterday now, but you know what I mean... anywho, I'm getting beaten pretty bad against Ben. (In case any of you didn't know, Ben is the one person who has handed me a shutout at racquetball.) Well, toward the end of the match, which I ended up losing 15-3, I tried hitting the ball against the back wall hard enough to send it against the front. Well, I think I hit it hard enough, but it reached the right side of my head instead of the front wall. Once again, my glasses flew off, and once again, they survived the fall. Well, since I got hit in the head with a swift shot of a racquetball, I was once again very happy! Don't ask me why pain has this effect on me. I'm not sure myself! Well, we finished that match, got a drink of water, and proceeded to game #2. I was still in a really good mood from the crack to the head, but I wasn't prepared for what happened next... I actually defeated Ben! 15-9! I couldn't believe it at all. Maybe I should get whacked in the head more often! Yeah, that's what I'll do... before each match, I'll hit a ball from close distance into a wall, and try catching it with my face! Well, back to the story... the third game we played, my headshot was still paying off... for a while. I was winning the third match 9-4, when I went back to classic form, and totally screwed up! Ben ended up winning the rubber match 15-10. At least now, I have a sound strategy... injury! Well, see talk to y'all later!

Ok, I've submitted a couple of short blogs over my cell phone, but this is the first "REAL" blog I've got to do in a little while. So, I've got a lot to comment on, other than the short little quips here and there.

First thing I'll talk about is the "game". I had recently developed a prototype game that was initially supposed to be an online multiplayer game exclusively for this site. What popped out, though, was a board game. And in my opinion, a half decent one at that. Thanks much to Strike & Co. for helping me playtest the thing. After tons of alpha-level testing, methinks we've got a pretty good working ruleset down for the game. Now, it's in beta mode, and I have to find more players to playtest with, to get a feel for any additional changes and opinions. It could be marketable! We'll see. Anywho, I will eventually be converting it into its original intent: the online version. Stay tuned for that!

This past weekend went by quick, but so much happened. Friday after work, I had to go to a funeral showing for a former preacher at the church I attend. I didn't know him too well, but his widow recognized me as "one of her boys". She was very upbeat, because she knows he is in a better place.

After the showing, it was up to Weirton for a "Friday Night Sing" at a church up there. I got to lead a couple songs, so it was all good. Some of the people there were asking me when my congregation was going to have one. I told them that I was trying to organize a sing for sometime early next year. Hopefully, I'll be able to pull it off, with the help of my church family.

Saturday, I had to go to a wedding. It was a really nice ceremony. During the reception, my friend Jason and I had to do the "bartending". Which consisted of pouring non-alcoholic drinks! Pepsi, Coke, Diet Pepsi, Diet Coke.... we had it all! Oh, and some punch! We both had a blast pouring those drinks, as ridiculous as that sounds!

After the wedding, Oliver and I went to play some racquetball at the gym. It was a lot of fun, and we got two good hours of playtime in. We even tried playing left-handed some, and I think I have a new powerserve somewhat down. I'll have to try it tomorrow, as I have plans to play against Ben from work.

Sunday started out normal. Morning church services as usual. The only thing different thing about the service was the fact that I actually led a song that I had sworn to never lead. "As the Life of the Flower". That song is so morbid, it's ridiculous! I always complain about that song, but our preacher wanted that sung, because it fit with his lesson. But back to what I was saying... normal Sunday. After services, Jason and I were standing by his car talking like always. He would normally park close to my house, so we would walk down together, talk at his car some, and then part our seperate ways. Same thing that day. There we were talking about various things, and then all of the sudden, we hear this crash and scraping. Things just got real silent then. A lawnmower which was running stopped, so I had thought the noise we had heard was the lawnmower screwing up and stopping. I said to Jason "That didn't sound good". Then we hear a girl screaming "Call 911!" Here, a guy was driving his motorcycle down the Loop, and he got hit by a car. My neighbors called the police and ambulance, and Jason and I rushed to the scene. Our preacher's car was stopped right in front of the accident, so initially, I thought it was his car that hit the motorcycle. It wasn't him, though. The police and ambulance got to the scene pretty fast. Surprisingly, so did a news crew. It wasn't more than 15 minutes after the crash when a camera crew and reporter from channel 7 showed up. Jason and I were talking to the reporter, Jerry Echemann, a little bit, telling him about how we heard the crash from around the corner. We didn't get on camera, but that wasn't our main concern. We were more concerned about the wellbeing of the guy who was injured. Turns out it was Bob Bond, who used to own the Honda dealership in town. He's pretty famous in our town. Hopefully he will be okay and recover from his accident.

So, this will end my blog for now. Yes, I will still be posting about my vacation soon. I promise! But for now, I'm going to relax, drink a hot cup of tea, and watch some toons! Catch y'all later!

This is an old video, but I just saw it for the first time in its entirety. This is just really bad. So hilarious though! Some of the best one-liners in a song combined with the worst imagery and space-related euphemisms ever! So, without further adieu, get ready to scream WTF, and prepare for downcount! 5, 4, 3, 1, OFFBLAST!!!

This is one of the better pranks I've seen in a while. I believe this took place at Bethune-Cookman. Anywho, before a team meeting, one of the team members places a fake iguana just inside the meeting room door. Hilarity ensues.
