Time to start the second quarter of 2008 off with a bang. Literally. Time for a head-bangin' edition of WTF Video of the Week! This guy really takes a wild crack at this game, and causes quite the racket! Of course, it doesn't help when you get so mad, you see red! Gotta 40-Love these moments. Quite the volley if you ask me! Well, it's Monday, and once again, I'm in pain! Today was my doctor's appointment to get my shoulder checked out, and just as I suspected, I re-separated my AC joint. This, of course, means that I am out for two to three weeks of any physical activities that would put unnecessary stress on my arm. Also going along with the whole thing is that I have to keep my arm in a sling, which really sucks. The one good thing to come out of this, though? HAPPY PILLS!!!!!111 That's right. I'm on this one drug, Ultram, to help relieve the pain. And according to my mom, who was a nurse, this drug is one of the most powerful pill pain relievers, just behind Oxycontin in terms of power. Sweet! So far, it doesn't look like the injury is severe enough to miss out on softball, but I'm awaiting some Xray results, which should be in by the end of the week. Quick update on the whole coffee shop thing... their final day being opened is this Wednesday. Make sure to stop over and say goodbye. They close at 3pm. Well, this has been a rough week. I really don't know where to start with everything, so I'll just write it all as it comes to me. First, in case anybody hasn't heard, the worst news came when I got word that my favourite coffee shop is shutting down. Turns out that the economy isn't all as great as our president would like us to think, and the girls just can't afford to keep it open any longer, even though they've been bearing the storm for about six months. With prices for everything skyrocketing, and them being a small business, it really hurt them. Now, for me, I wasn't really too worried about the economy, because I make enough to not have to worry, but seeing one of the most awesome places ever having to shut its doors really hits close to home, and for the first time, showed me how bad things are getting. When a popular hangout that does excellent business can't keep going despite its popularity, it really goes to show how bad things really have gotten. I am feeling really bad for the girls, because they put their hearts and souls into the place, and the world we currently live in won't allow them to go on. It royally sucks. Hopefully, one day, they will be able to revive the coffee shop. Second Cup forever! Next, another "personal" loss, if you want to call it that. My girl, Ramiele, got voted off of American Idol this week. I kind of knew it was coming, but it still sucks. My two favourites voted off in back-to-back weeks. Oh well. Guess it's time to start looking forward to the tour! In good news, after several years, I finally got a new cellphone today! Well, technically, yesterday, but I haven't gone to sleep yet, so the day is still going for me! Anywho, it's a Motorola Z9, and is supposedly a new model. Wish I knew what the release date of this phone was, but it looks pretty spiffy nonetheless! It's a slider that comes loaded with features, like GPS navigation, mobile web, bluetooth, MP3 player, and it makes phone calls too! :) The only thing that I've found lacking on it so far are the games. There was only one game, I think, and it was a two minute trial of Lumines. There are a couple other icons on the games page that may or may not be games, but it sucks that I seemingly cannot play anything on it, unless I download stuff for a nominal fee! What else... oh yeah. Since the coffee shop is closing down, I told the girls that I would buy some of the old shop furniture that they're putting up for sale. So, I'm going to be getting one of the dining tables from the shop, as well as four chairs to go along with it. So, in a way, I'll have a piece of the shop to keep with me. Well, that, and the coffee mug I have from the shop. And the bag of "Gangstalicious Blue Heela'" coffee I bought there. But I tell you what, Steak n Shake couldn't have picked a better time to get some decent servers hired. With the coffee shop closing, I would be in need of a fall-back place to hangout, and as I've probably mentioned before, in the recent past, there were only a couple good servers left at Steak n Shake. Now, they have fresh blood in, and the service quality overall has increased. So, it doesn't seem like going there anymore will be a hit-or-miss chance like it used to be. Oh, quick update on the site. The "Ninja Wiki" is getting pretty close to launch, so watch for that very soon. Finally, tomorrow (technically today), Kansas will be playing UNC in the Final Four.
