And I'm a workaholic.
It's been three weeks since my last post, and in between, I've fallen into the trials and temptations of doing way too much...
Ok, enough of this mindless parodic dribble. I'm no Weird Al, although I've been called that in regards to my poetry! Anywho, it's been quite a while since I've had any sort of interaction with this site. For you, my faithful friends, fans, fiends, trolls, lurkers, and everybody else who visits this site, I apologize. I've been way too wrapped up in the daily rigors of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness to have the slightest bit of time to update this place.
So, a bunch of you are probably wondering what all I've been doing to avoid coming here and giving you new content to read and weep over. Well, it's hard to think of everything that has gone on, since the past few weeks have been a big blur. But, I'll try to give y'all the rundown on the excuses for my absense.... and here we go!
1) BUYING A HOUSE!!!!
Yes, I've been going through the rigors of purchasing my first home! It's been a bit of a whirlwind, complete with meetings, phone calls, and tons and tons and TONS of paperwork. It's not all complete yet, but the toughest parts are done, and now I'm playing the waiting game to see if everything goes through. Current status is this: filled out the loan application this past weekend, as well as thousands of other forms, and am waiting the results of the appraisal and FHA approval. If everything goes through without a hitch, I will be closing on the home within two weeks! I'll keep y'all updated.
2) WORK, WORK, WORK, WORK.....
Too many independent projects and office projects to speak of. I'm in the process of working on a site setup right now, and at the office, I've been apparently recruited by the highest of higher-ups (that's right, President and a VP) to possibly do an enourmous project that will affect the entire company! So, I've been in the process of trying to clear my office-work slate for that doozie. Also, I may have a big project coming up that may take up even more of my free time, but would be rewarding, because some of the details involve the very reason I got into programming (cough... cough... video game design... cough... cough...). And yes, future "Wii" development was mentioned. All of that is in the "let's talk about it" phase, though, so nothing certain yet. I'll keep y'all posted.
3) SUCKY SOFTBALL!!!
Corporate softball league has taken a small, but significant, part of my free time. No, we still haven't won a game. But I think we will win at least one! Let's all hope for the best there!
4) MUSIC
One thing I'm working on is some music arrangement. I'm not going to go into details there. Let's just say it's long and tedious work.
5) HOUSE-CLEANING
This one is kind of a tricky one, because normally, house-cleaning is a daily regiment for most people. But, with everything else I've been doing, it takes up a good part of my free time. Plus, with the possible upcoming purchase of a house, I have to really start getting things organized in such a way that I may be packing them up for the big move soon.
6) GYM
I've been trying to get back in the swing of things in regards to working out. I need to get back into losing weight, so I've been trying to be more active, whether it be working out at the gym or at home. I know a certain someone recently told me that she didn't think I was fat (no, not you, Megan!), but even if I'm not, I could definitely be in better shape.
7) OTHER
Not too significant, but time-consuming nonetheless. Reunion planning, cooking (as opposed to eating out), etc., etc., etc.
Well, I'm going to be putting a bunch of stuff up here very soon. Some new WTF-ness is coming quickly, as well as other fun stuff. So, stay tuned! For real this time!
