Hello all! It's me again!
In case you haven't heard yet... by this time tomorrow, I will officially be a homeowner!!! The excitement is finally starting to set in some, and even though I am not quite jumping up and down all giddy and stuff like a cute Asian schoolgirl, you can be assured that I am really happy, and relieved that this whole process is almost over! Then comes the fun part... moving! I plan on using the month of July as one big moving party, so I will be gradually relocating my stuff to the new place as time progresses.
In case you didn't know... for real this time... I will be having a roommate. It's my friend Jason. We've been best friends since I can't remember when. I think it goes back to elementary school. Ugh, I'm getting too old! Anywho, he is going to be living at my place, and he will probably be the first between us to actually live there! You see, his mom, with whom he currently resides, just closed on a new house today, and is expediting her moving process. And the plan was for Jason to not live with her after she moved. So, he will most likely be fully moved in next week! Let's just hope that we have some appliances in there before then! :)
Yes, that's the next thing. This weekend, probably Friday, will consist partially of appliance and furniture shopping. The house has no stove or refrigerator, so I have to purchase some as soon as I can. I will also have to shop for some new living room, and possibly dining room, furniture, as my living room furniture is run down, and my dining room set is not exactly guest friendly. Sure it's comfy, but not properly suited for entertaining guests. Yes, I do plan on having some dinner parties! So, proper furnishings will be in order!
Well, can you tell yet whether or not I'm excited? :) But seriously, you won't see a smile on my face tonight. Not just because of me not having the Bob-cam on. I had some dental work done today, and even though I was supposed to get two teeth worked on today, only one got fixed. Doesn't sound too bad, except for the fact that the dentist had to drill in two different places on the tooth! One in the typical center area, and also around the back of the tooth. Needless to say, after the novacane wore off, I started feeling some pain in my jaw, and have been since the numbness went away! I kinda knew that it was going to be rough, since just to numb the tooth, I had to receive twice the normal dosage of novacane! Luckily, I still have some of my happy pills from my shoulder injury left, and those really kill pain! So, I will be taking one of those shortly to help with this aching jaw! Wonder if that will also fix this oversensitivity to hot and cold foods and drinks!
Let's see... what else happened today? Oh yes... racquetball. Played three games today. Lost all three, but all the games were competitive. Before the games, while I was in the lockerroom, I banged my finger against the locker door and literally ripped a hair-filled pore right out of my skin! Fun fun.
Also, this evening, I decided to get some Chinese food to celebrate the news about the house. But I didn't take my car for once. I just kinda casually strolled down to the ATM on foot, got money out, then backtracked, stopped at DQ for a malt, and then walked up the street to pick up the General Tso Chicken. It has been a while since I strolled around town like that, but it felt real good to just to take a relaxing walk around. I've been so busy lately, that just taking it easy was a welcome change.
