Hello again, my faithful Bobaholics! Since I've been going all update crazy on all y'all, I figured I'd lay one more down for your minds to grasp. I have had this idea for a while, and since I now have some extra free time, I'm going full force on this one. I am finally working on a video game project I've wanted to do for some time now. It's going to be a PC based game of the puzzle strategy genre, like Tetris (if that's what you call that genre). I will provide updates as the development progresses, under the codename CURTAIN. Stay tuned for updates! -- TG |

Since I'm going post-crazy on here, I figured I'd update you all on something real quick. Remember the post where I was talking about new stuff on this site? Well, I thought I'd let you all know that a new feature will be debuting next week, most likely around Thursday. This is one of those "other new things" I alluded to but didn't mention, so you will have to stay tuned to see what comes up on Thursday evening! Hope to see you all then! -- TG |

Well, here we are, back after a one week hiatus, with a fresh turkey gobbled down (no pun intended) and enough tryptophan left over in my system to knock out a bull elephant! No wonder I've taken up coffee drinking... wait... I mean MORE coffee drinking. Anywho, now that the dust has settled on yet another holiday of mass consumption, I figured I'd fill everybody in on just what went on. First off, this year's Thanksgiving was held at my house for the first time, which was exciting for me, since I had just bought the place back in July and have already had a major holiday celebration here! I got almost the entire week off of work, except for Monday, which was a drag, since one, it was a Monday, and two, it was the last day of work for the week! Just imagine combining the stresses of a typical Monday with the anxiousness of wanting to get out of work on a Friday. Well, it was miserable, to say the least. Back to the whole family in town thing. My brother, his wife, and their two kids came into town late Friday night as a surprise for my Mom, although I'd known about it the whole time. They weren't really supposed to be here until Saturday, but they figured that getting there a day early would be a nice surprise for my mom. For the entirety of the week, my brother and his wife spent their sleepy nights at my house on my couches, which were a tremendous upgrade from what my brother used to sleep on at my old apartment whenever he crashed there. Usually, those sleeping arrangements consisted of either a futon, an old recliner, my computer chair, and in most cases, some odd combination of two or more of the above. One of these days, I will have a guest room available here, but for now, the new soft fluffy couches were a drastic improvement on the past. Their two kids, however, spent their nights at my mom's house, which was fine with everybody, since that meant that my mom got more time with her grandkids, and my brother and sister-in-law got to sleep in without being woken up early in the morning. Not that they could sleep in that much, since they were used to waking up at the butt-crack of dawn, but all in all, they enjoyed the peaceful nights of sleep. Me? Well, when I did sleep, I got very little of it. That very first night they crashed at my place, I took off after midnight to go on my normal late-night Huddle House Magic run. That meant no sleep until about 5:00 in the morning. Even the day they left, which was this past Saturday, I didn't get to bed until about 7:30, because of another late night HHM run while they slept, and after getting home, decided I might as well stay up to see the family off since they were leaving early in the morning. Every night in between was a crap-shoot for sleep, since I had the tendency of waking up on habit early in the morning, since I'm normally going to work, but these wakeups normally occurred after staying up late due to the fact that I didn't have to work the next day anyway! Interesting thing happened during this past week. Despite all the hubbub you hear about people gourging themselves and gaining a ton of weight, I actually lost about seven pounds during this past week's course! I attribute this to the facts that I wasn't sitting in front of a computer for twelve hours out of the day and was actually up doing stuff! That, and the fact that my nephew and niece used me as their personal jungle gym! Thanksgiving day itself was kind of hectic. I was running around like crazy, trying to get everything cleaned up, get food ready to go, realizing that we needed ice for the drinks... you know, usual holiday mass confusion. My mom assured me that this was all normal with hosting such an event, and that relieved me a bit, even though it was still a pain trying to get everything setup. All in all, though, had a great meal with family, and it made for a good time. Well, I may write more later as it comes to me, but for now, in addition to the normal comments that usually come with these posts, I'd also like to hear some Thanksgiving stories from all of you! Please leave your favourite holiday story from this past week in the comments if you feel like sharing, and as I think of other things that happened during this past week, I'll be sure to do the same. So for now, I'll catch y'all later! -- TG |

Konbanwa, kittehs! And welcome to another exciting edition of WTF Video of the Week! (applause... clap clap clap...) For this week's video, I found this trailer for what I thought would be a cute and innocent animation film, but what I discovered was completely unexpected by yours truly, and left me wondering WTF? Enjoy! |
