Well, it's time for the annual review which I know everybody really looks forward to....
(crickets chirping...)
Yeah, I know. Boring stat stuff. But it should give you and me a picture of how the site did this year. Not that this site relies on any revenue or site-hits to keep going, but it's always nice to know that people actually look at this thing!
So, before I post the actual stats, here are just my thoughts on this year. We broke two records to my knowledge for site usage, which is good. On the other hand, even though the site technically had more visitors in 2008 than in 2007, site stats were only kept from the relaunch in 2007, which occurred on August 17th, and based on the pace during that period, we actually had fewer visitors on average per day than in the previous year. We got a few new members, including an American Idol contestant! I'm not kidding! We seriously did! So we had a bit of growth.
I am, for the most part, pleased with how we did in 2008. There were some stretches when even I was away for a while and wasn't able to update the site on a consistent basis. Hopefully, with a somewhat calmer schedule, that won't be the case for 2009. So, in closing, I would like to thank all of our members, browsers, and lurkers for visiting and participating in this site, and I hope that you will all continue to do so in this new year. If you have any suggestions, comments, questions, or anything else, please leave a comment, sign the guestbook, post in the forum, etc., and we will do our best to respond, incorporate your ideas, and help you in any way possible.
