This is really kind of bittersweet... tomorrow, I go to look into buying a new car. The problem I'm having is with how much I love my old car. My PT Cruiser was the first car I bought with my own money, and it's served me well. I remember one of the reasons I got it was just because at the time, it was so drastically different from any other car out there. Not very many people had them, and they were really hard to find. Back then, when you passed another PT Cruiser driver, they gave you a wave, and you would wave back. It was kind of like being in an exclusive club. Now, the cars are so commonplace, there is no real camaraderie to owning one.

Now, I will most likely be moving on to a car that, in essence, is what the PT Cruiser was back when I bought it. I won't give away what car I'm looking at, but I have not seen another one of its model being driven in my area. My aunt says she has seen one, but wasn't sure if it was from out of town or not. Although it is similar in style to a couple other models out there, there are several defining features that set it apart from the rest. I'll talk about that more if/once I get it.

I am really upset, though, about getting rid of the Cruiser. It's getting to the point, though, where just the cost of maintenance to keep it running is equaling what a monthly car payment would be for a new one. I guess today after I dropped it off at the repair shop, something let loose in the engine that made it nearly immobile. With the fact that I'm going to be traveling to North Carolina this weekend, if something like that were to happen on the way down there, I would be so boned. So, even though I don't want to get rid of the Cruiser, it's at that point where I would be better off with something that won't have to be repaired every month.

My friends and I have had several memories in the Bobmobile. Here are some of my personal favourites.

1) I had bought the car on Memorial Day weekend... Ironically, the first song to come across the radio in the car was a song about enjoying a three-day weekend.

2) Driving all over the state of Ohio... with Louie stuffed in the trunk.

3) The late-night rides with the girl I was crushing on for a time.

4) Many, many, many long-distance trips.

5) My brother referring to it as the hurse

6) Defying everybody's expectations, in regards to how much junk I could shove in that thing, like the three tubas I carted around with my friends during Alumni Band.

The car has been good to me, and I've treated it very well. I wish I could keep it forever, but I know that it's time to move on to something different. Ugh, I'm getting choked up a bit just writing this... but the Bobmobile has been with me for over seven years, and has gotten me all over the place. Soon, Bobmobile v2.0 will be upon us, but the original Bobmobile, the PT Cruiser, will forever live in our hearts.

Greetings, young pups, and welcome to another edition of WTF Video of the Week! For this week's video, we have a first! That's right, the first WTF Video in the history of this site that is one of our own homebrews! Anywho, my mom's dog, Tinie, has this skin allergy or something that makes her itch all over. But to scratch the backs of her hips (or scientific term, her butt), she will repeatedly drag butt down the hill. Seriously, Tinie, WTF? Enjoy!

Well, as lunch break is wrapping up here, I thought I'd take a quick minute to let you know some stuff that's going on. In regards to this website, yes, I have a WTF Video coming. It's just on my cell phone, and I haven't been able to transfer the file over to my computer yet. Second, I'm hoping to have some new forum stuff online by either the end of this week or early next week. Third, once I get the new forum in place, as well as some other minor changes, I plan on unveiling the details to my "Membership Drive" contest.

But the big news for me right now is this: I may be getting a new car very soon. I had taken my Cruiser in today for an AC recharge, when all sorts of other problems started showing up. I'm awaiting a call from the repair shop to see what all is wrong, and what the costs may be. But it's getting to the point that the amount of money I've been putting into the Cruiser for upkeep, maintenance, and repairs is about the same per month as a new car payment would be. So, I talked to a different dealership today to setup a time tomorrow to go look at new cars. The model of car I want is actually in stock at this dealership, although not in the colour I would want. But, that's the least of my worries, as a car can easily be repainted. Depending on how quick the process moves, when I take my trip to Carolina on Thursday, it's possible I may be heading down there in a new car.

So, that is what's going on right now. Now, time for me to get back to work.

Finally got around to looking at the underwater footage I shot while down in Florida. Most of the footage was not very good, as the water was really murky that day, so you couldn't really see too much. However, I did get some footage of the tiny fish that kept swimming around us. While a bunch of us were swimming out in the Gulf, one of the guys said that a bunch of those fish showed up, and they all got away from them. I tried to get right in the middle of them, and this is what I got. Raw, uncut, and Rambus makes an appearance! Enjoy!
