| Greetings, my superstitious friends, to another edition of WTF Video of the Week! As you may or may not know, tomorrow holds special significance to those who care about meaningless dribble... tomorrow marks the date 09/09/09... and at 9:09 AM (or PM also, if you don't count army time), it makes for a lot of nines. Well, I'm here to tell you that we can do without 9... well, at least that's what this cringe-inducing music video makes the case for, not realizing that 9 can never really go away, save for relieving itself. Time to squeeze out some quick randomness before I go to bed. 1) The elevator at work is haunted. 2) Got to see one of the former coffee shop owners yesterday at her new work place. Didn't get to talk much, though, since she got busy. Did get in a nice small chat, though! 3) Shadyside lost their opener, 42-22... they lost to a very good team, though, and I think SHS will do fine this season. 4) I have a busy weekend planned again... Friday, football... Saturday, Community Days... Sunday, church and the other usual... Monday... Labor Day!!! 5) Speaking of Friday... Friday is Adolph's 14th birthday! I'm thinking of maybe doing a duel Labor Day/Birthday party. 6) Got to start building the menu for the Labor Day cookout.... 7) This is the last week I have of normal work... next week starts the 6-10 month process of installing a new ERP system. 8) One of the guys at work is planning a golf outing, and asked me if I'd be interested in playing... guess I've got to get to the driving range again soon! 9) As I was leaving band practice today, I saw a skinny black cat... when I knelt down in front of it, the cat came right up to me and kindly accepted some impromptu petting. 10) Speaking of band, I've been working on playing an Alto Clarinet... although the fingering is the same, I don't quite have the hang of making noise from it yet. I'm improving, though. 11) I'm up to Chapter 17 in Valkyria Chronicles... getting close to the end! 12) One of my favourite football players, Teddy Bruschi, retired this week. He will be sorely missed. -- TG |

The moment we've been waiting for is finally here! The TGBob.com Membership Drive Contest is finally underway! So members, if you haven't started spreading the word yet, now is the time to do so! Quick FYI: I did make one final change to the rules, and this change regards eligibility. The new rule is that anybody who signs up for the site, regardless of whether they were referred or not, is now eligible to participate in this contest. So, if you're a lurker who's been on the edge of signing up, or somebody just passing through, you're eligible to partake in this contest as well. (I'm still not eligible, though, so ignore me!) I will post a completed rules sheet very soon, as well as links to other details of the contest, including live unofficial scoring, the official weekly results, and list of prizes. If you want to know about the rules and prizes right now, refer to the earlier blog post on the matter, while ignoring the eligibility rule. | Welcome, my thirsty friends, to yet another edition of WTF Video of the Week! For this week, we go back to our favourite crazy country, Japan, for a Fanta commercial! I saw a couple different short Fanta commercials, but lemon-flavoured takes the cake when it comes to weirdness!
