Welcome, racing fans, to another edition of WTF Video of the Week! Now, as you may know, Jimmy Johnson won his fourth straight Sprint Cup NASCAR Championship this past weekend, so in honour of his great accomplishment, we're going a completely different direction and giving you a video game review! At least the video game review has something to do with racing... I think... It's called "Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing", and it's argueably one of the worst video games ever created. This review, although without dialogue, just screams one big, bloody WTF! Hope you enjoy!

Ah yes, time for some relaxation... As I mentioned before, I am officially on vacation from work! I think... no, I know that I've needed some time off for a while now, and now that I have it, I just hope that it doesn't go too fast.

One funny thing I've noticed leading up to this time off is that whenever I mentioned I would be on vacation, the first thing people would ask me is "Where are you going?" Well, that's not entirely accurate... my second cousin had asked me "Where are WE going?" But in either case, I would just say "nowhere". I guess the assumption is that if you say you're on vacation from work, taking vacation time, etc., people assume that you're going somewhere. Maybe it's just because of the common expression "going on vacation", which entails actually packing up and leaving for some place a bit more exciting than what is offered in the friendly confines of one's home. But who cares? I'm not wanting to think too hard about the intricacies of the English language, because I'm on vacation!

So, what am I planning to do during my time off? Well, for the most part, absolutely nothing! Although that's not an accurate statement, since vegging out is, technically, something. Obviously, tonight is the standard MtG at Huddle House late night, although my normal waitress is supposed to not be there. :( But from what I understand, another one of my favourites will be there, so hopefully, she will be the one to wait on us.

Over the weekend, I plan on getting some house cleaning done, so I can have the extra time to relax next week, instead of having to worry about getting the house all spotless. You see, my brother and his family is coming in from North Carolina either Tuesday or Wednesday for the Thanksgiving holiday, and my brother will be crashing at my place during his stay. So I need to get the house cleaned, but I don't want to spend all my time off working on it, when I could be putting that time to better use, namely, sleeping in.

Wednesday, a group of us (not sure of the size yet) will be going to a Wheeling Nailers hockey game. Somehow, my aunt had won tickets to the game in a radio call-in contest, but she's not sure how many she won. It's either two or four. So, she had told us if it's just the two tickets, she's going to give them to me and my brother, since she's not that big of a hockey fan. However, if it is the four tickets, she's going to go along with us, in addition to one TBD person.

But other than the Thanksgiving holiday and all that entails, that's pretty much all I've officially got planned for my vacation time. I'm sure that in my spare time, a lot of writing, video game playing, and sleeping, will be in order. But I badly needed this time off to just recouperate from the daily stresses of life.

Vacation time! Yay! But on to the real topic. I would like to introduce you to the newest feature of TGBob.com... Shorty Codes!

What is a shorty code, you ask? Simple. These are short, Twitter/status-friendly links you can post to your Twitter account or Facebook or MySpace statuses, which will link people to a specific blog on this site, while keeping the page layout in-tact. This way, if you want to share something you see on this site, whether it be a video, a blog, or something else, all you have to do is copy the shorty code and post it wherever you like.

I hope you will find this feature useful. I know from my end, it will definitely make spreading the word about this site a bit easier, and it will take some of the pressure off of people who wish to share something they see here with their friends, without having to go into great detail about why they should come check it out. So, enjoy!

Time for one of my crazy stories! As many of you may know, my parents recently sold a house they used to live in, and I had to help with some of the cleanup, because before I was on my own, I also lived in this house, and a ton of my old stuff was in the attic. So, a lot of the work I did there was going through all of my old junk and figuring out what was worth keeping, and what needed to be thrown out. I didn't have any clue, though, what I would end up finding when I started, but some things I found... well... to put it lightly, embarrassed the crap out of me.

During a lot of the cleaning process, my mother would be up in the attic with me, helping me organize my keepsakes and trash my unwanted goods. There seemed like a hundred boxes were sorted through, and each one brought back different memories of childhood, high-school, or college. We finally came to this one box I had. It was an old box for a video game system I have, the Panasonic 3D0. No, there wasn't an old video game system in there! That system is hooked up to my entertainment center at my house. But knowing that, I wasn't sure what was in the box... it felt kind of light, so I wasn't sure what was in it.

Well, I opened the box, and it was full of old clothes. Such was the case with several of the boxes, except these clothes were not mine. I pulled out the first item, which looked like a large blue bandana with long strings on each side. My mom asked what it was and I told her I wasn't sure. She then said that it looked like a wrap-a-round skirt. "I think you're right" I replied, while beginning to remember who that skirt had belonged to. I feared what I may pull out next, especially since my mom was sitting right there beside me.

Next in the box was another skirt, this time just a standard black mini, followed by a small t-shirt. "Those look too small to be Amanda's", my mom said, recalling one of my old girlfriends. I agreed with her, and she asked whose they were. "I don't know... lemme check", I exclaimed, while pulling a white bra out of the box. "34 A... Oh, these are Cat's clothes!" (If you're wondering how I knew her bust size, it was because it came up in conversation at work one time when some coworkers were asking for it because of a Christmas gift exchange.)

Well, I think it was at this time that I had to start explaining why I had all these old clothes of a former flame in storage. While pulling out other articles, I reminded my mom of how her mom, for some reason, hated my guts, so we had to date each other in secret. This led to her having to bring changes of clothes to my house, since she would be just coming from college when dropping in, and she would want to dress down into something a little less formal. My mom didn't prod me too much about it, but I felt it demanded a bit of an explanation regardless.

We were finally getting to the bottom of the box, and the last articles that remained were an old bikini and a couple bottles of lotion. (Sun-ripened raspberry from Bath & Body Works, for those of you keeping score.) I removed the bikini top, and then grabbed the bikini bottom and pulled. However, there was a bit of a problem. That's right, as if my embarrassment wasn't already great enough, I come to find that the bikini bottoms were stuck to the bottom of the box! (Insert joke here) The REAL reason they were stuck was because one of those bottles of lotion had leaked, soaked the bottoms, and fused it to the box bottom. But the jokes were already flying at this point, with my mom teasing me, saying that she would tell my brother about this, and he would never let me live it down. I was thinking of several jokes myself, but said very few of them, for obvious reasons!

In the end, I think most of my family found out about this box of old memories and embarrassment. I remember talking to my sister a few days later, and she asked me, "What's this I hear about you holding on to old nappy underwear?" We ended up throwing out all of those old clothes, but me and my mom had discussed mailing them back to either her or her mom, with a note saying she had left these at my house. Come to think of it, I wonder how her mom would react to that? She'd probably put a hit out on me or something, if she doesn't already have one out! Oh well. Hope you enjoyed this story, and I'm curious as to what jokes I will hear from my viewers on this one.
