It's been a bit too long since I've wrote on here. I've seem to be going through some ups and downs as of lately, so I've been scatter-brained as of late. So, although it's not really a true randomness, I decided to do a quick and dirty rundown of what's been going on with me recently.
First things first, I have a new toy! I recently got a MacBook! The big reason for getting a MacBook is because I'm starting to learn how to design iPhone apps, and because of Apple's lockdown of where iPhone apps can be designed, namely on an Intel-based Mac with OSX 10.5 or later, I could not design any apps on any of my existing hardware. So, now I have the equipment, and all I need is the knowledge.
Next up, my foot is injured! I was playing a game of three-man racquetball last Monday, and I don't know if it was because of a wrong step, or when I got my foot slammed against the wall, but I am currently having trouble walking on my right foot, as it is in constant pain. It's been almost a week, and although I can walk on my foot, which I couldn't do on Tuesday, the pain hasn't really subsided all that much. So tomorrow, I'm going to be calling my doctor to get an appointment to get it checked out. Hopefully, it's not broken!
The Giants just took the lead.
In work-related news, at the beginning of the new year, I will be taking my first big business trip! I've traveled by car a few places for some one day conferences and such, but come January, my company is flying me to Tampa for some special training on this new system we're installing. I will be leaving early morning on Tuesday, January 5th, and returning Thursday evening on the 7th.
Eagles just got the lead back.
I got my Christmas tree finally decorated. The most impressive thing about my tree this year is the quantity of lights. Exactly 1000 lights!
Speaking of Christmas stuff, I got almost all of my Christmas shopping done yesterday. I spent the afternoon and evening out at the Highlands. Probably spent about an hour shopping, an hour at the restaurant, and about four hours waiting in my car in a line of traffic. Yeah, traffic was pretty crazy out there, to the point where I took a chance at parking several storefronts away from the local Target I was planning on shopping at, just so I wouldn't have to wait in the traffic to get to Target. I can say that this gamble did, in fact, pay off, as I was beating people waiting in their cars by a large amount of time. After I got my shopping done, I went to Quaker Steak & Lube to eat, and despite the 25 minute wait and not requesting a server because of the wait, I still got stuck with the same server I always get! The joke I've been telling has been that I keep getting more and more Twizzlers every time she waits on me. For those of you who may not be familiar with QSL, instead of after-dinner mints or some other treat after your meal, the waitresses will give you a Twizzler. Well, a few visits ago, she had given me two Twizzlers, and the previous time, she had given me three. On this visit, she gave me seven! Good thing I like Twizzlers!
Well, I'm going to finish watching this game now, and also have to change Adolph's litter box, so she'll stop yelling at me. I'll write more later!
