Greetings, nature lovers, and welcome to another edition of WTF Video of the Week! For this week's video, I'm not going to do much of an explanation. I'll just say this: place your bets... Alligator vs. Electric Eel. Who wins? Enjoy!

Merry Christmas, everybody! I know I haven't posted in a while, so with the holiday spirit upon us, I figured now would be a good time to post something, since I actually have new material!

Well, it is that time of year again. I am planning my yearly trip to North Carolina to spend Christmas with my family. Now, I know that most of my family is up here, but almost all of us are making the trip down there, so with the exception of my younger brother, the whole family will be together for Christmas. My younger brother won't be able to go because of work, which is understandable since had just recently started a new job. It's hard to walk into a new place and start asking for days off.

However, since he isn't able to go, this past Sunday, we had a family Christmas dinner for us Ohio folk at my parents' house. Meatloaf was the dish of choice, and the meal was delicious, even though the meatloaf fell apart. I'm just going to apply the "apple pie" rule to this one, though. The more it falls apart, the tastier it will be! After that dinner, we also exchanged presents, so I've got a head start on most of y'all! So far, I got an electric wok, some new MtG cards, a nice new shirt, and a Fushigi ball! The Fushigi ball is a ball used to practice the art of contact juggling, in case any of you are not familiar with it. It's a pretty neat little thing! I can just imagine me in the future, doing all sorts of mind-bending tricks in one hand, while creating a delicious stir-fry with the other!

Speaking of delicious, I got to make my chili last week! (applause......) Thank you, thank you! ^_^ Yeah, I made one variation to my chili this time around... I made it with turkey instead of the usual beef. That way, people who could not eat red meat could still enjoy a big bowl or three! (You know who you are! ;p ) The reason I made it was for the office Christmas party, and it ended up being a huge success. My coworkers were raving over the stuff, how incredibly spicy, yet utterly delicious it was! In fact, even today at work, the water cooler conversation involved the ever-growing legend of my chili! I'm glad that everybody was able to enjoy it. In fact, I still have some leftovers in my fridge, so I may be busting that out here soon.

But since I brought up parties, I should mention that this past Saturday, I held a Christmas party of sorts at my house. I had titled it "Reindeer Games", since it was organized as a game night. I wasn't sure how it was going to go, but in the end, I have to say that it was not only a huge success, but it was possibly one of the best parties I've ever held here at my house! About 16 people showed up, which doesn't sound like a lot on paper, but for a small house party, that's a pretty nice number! Normally, my parties get between eight and ten people... before this one, I think the most I ever had at a party was twelve. But I wasn't sure how many people would end up showing up, but all at once it seemed, people just started rolling through the front door, and I was rushing around like a mad man, greeting people, taking coats, and generally trying to be a good host. We had plenty of laughs, lots of good food, and played some great games. Oh, and Red and Big Rog were also a hit! I had thought of locking them in the basement for the party, but with everything else that was going on, I didn't really get time to, so I just kind of watched to see how they would react. Surprisingly enough, they were extremely well behaved! Not bad for a couple cats who have broken ornaments and have head-dived into the Christmas tree! I am now thinking that this party may become an annual tradition for me, since it was such a huge success.

Tomorrow, though, begins the final countdown until Christmas. Once I get to NC, that's when I know it's really close and I start getting excited. Not that I haven't had an overdose of holiday cheer this year... in fact, this is probably the most excited I've been for Christmas in quite a while! But once I'm down there, that's when I know it is, literally, right around the corner. My aunt is going to be riding down with me again this year, and we're planning on leaving tomorrow evening. However, there is a chance that she could get off of work early, which I'm kind of hoping for, because if she does, since I have the day off tomorrow, we will get a head start to our trip. We're pretty much planning for me to pick her up right after she gets home from work, so I'm getting a bunch of stuff ready tonight, in case I get the call tomorrow afternoon that she is getting off early. That way, I can just jump in the car and be on my way at a moment's notice. Pray that we have a safe trip.

Once I do get down there, me and my older brother have already planned on getting out of the house Thursday morning, to mostly just go around, run some errands, and to get away from the women! ^_^ After that, I think a lot of relaxing will be in order. I'll probably be playing a bunch of Sims 3, with my niece staring over my shoulder, repeatedly asking to play. I'm really looking forward to our Christmas dinner, because the meat of choice is prime rib! Yeah, once again, I was "suckered" into buying a prime rib for the family. Trust me, after last year, it didn't take much convincing! Prime rib is so delicious! But overall, I'm hoping for an enjoyable Christmas vacation. Oh, and lots of cool presents! ^_^

I'll probably be on here and there through this holiday vacation, but if I don't get to say so before then, I hope everybody has a Merry Christmas!

  Well, today I start training....
Saturday AM I got 3 hours sleep, Sun night I got 6 hours, and then last night I got... 6 again, I think. And if I don't get a nap in the next two hours, I will have been up 24 hours straight by the time today's training is over.

>_<

I'm almost hoping I can take a nap during whatever lunch break we have v.v

Sorry for being MIA this past week; I've been trying to fix my Linux machine's hard drives (still am, in fact, but right now is more waiting for backups to finish) and I also went nocturnal... so now I get to have fun with evening sessions that are starting early due because of the holidays.

Well, if God doesn't really want me having this job, I just have to miss a day of training >_> and if he does want me to have it, then I won't get sick this January. I have a tendency to come down with a nasty cold + fever for a few days sometime in January, but it's been a year or two since that happened last, so... it's in God's hands. Duh. ;)

Gonna go get ready for work now, catch ya all later! Don't expect to hear from me much till Friday though :)

Grr, thought I'd posted this already! v.v So this is the condensed version....

YAY! Got a job today! Tech support call center for Verizon FiOS. Training starts in a week, for about 6 weeks. First month is $9/hr, then jumps to 10.5--so not great, but $9 is my low-end cutoff for "survivable" wage.

And I'm running on only 2 hours sleep, so ask me Qs and/or I'll try to write more later. :)

Greetings, sports fans, and welcome to another edition of WTF Video of the Week! I know, it's very early Monday, but I just could not wait to post this one. There was supposed to be a game between the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants yesterday, but it was moved to be played today in Detroit. Why, you ask? Well, when the stadium roof collapses, you kind of don't have a choice! WTF?
