| Greetings, gamers, and welcome to another edition of WTF Video of the Week! For this week's entry, I present to you somebody who royally ticks me off! I mean, although I am a video game collector and know better, I would hope to think that some people would be able to know what an extremely common video game system was worth. Then again, either this guy is a swindler and is just throwing terms out there to make himself seem like an expert, or he just doesn't know the value of a game or what a game even is! I'm kind of thinking it's the former of the two based on context, because the show this is from is about people who buy these full storage units en masse and try to resell the items inside. So, this probably isn't the first storage unit this guy has bought. All of this just makes me want to shout WTF! Enjoy! | ||||||||

[I forget the lyrics to the rest of that song...] Urp. Update, I guess. I know I haven't posted here since I moved (which is going pretty well, btw) and I always suck at posting catch-ups...... so, sorry about the missing time. However, had a bit of an event earlier tonight that I need to make sure people hear about, and this is one of the easier ways to do that. So I was on my way back home from work; had gone to get gas so was taking a slightly different route, and the exit ramp was an annoying 25 MPH with lots of nice rumble strips. Anyway, almost off the ramp I hit a bit of a bump, and then I start hearing a horrible dragging sound from the back of the van. Now, I'd been intending to get my rear tires replaced tomorrow (and an oil change) so my first panic-idea was that one of the tires had blown out; but I was able to easily get to a convenient gravelly spot and pull off at the bottom of the ramp. So I get out and check both rear tires--both still there. Now I'm wondering if the muffler fell off or something, so I check underneath... Oh. Blast it. The rear axle looks snapped in the middle, so the tires are leaning inward a bit and I'm sure a decent bit of the axle has been cement-grated off by now. Fortunately I was able to get a ride home from a friend (thanks, Jason! Sorry to keep you up so late tonight)... and got most of the important stuff out of the van Just In Case... but now I need to find a replacement vehicle soonest. It's been running without rear brakes almost all year but I don't think it can run without a rear axle >_> Anyone know where I can get a decent vehicle for under 2000? (Gotta check my bank account again but I think that's what I have there now) And if I don't get that tomorrow, I'll have to find rides to/from work as well. Don't wanna think about that tonight <_< So... need to make a lot of calls etc tomorrow while my brother is at work, then hopefully we can go and get something...... well, that'd be nice, at least. I think he gets off at 4 though so doesn't really give us a lot of time. I forget if Lucy is off work tomorrow, but maybe she'll have some ideas for alternatives in the earlier afternoon. -yawns- I'm gonna try to go to sleep soon so I can wake up earlier than usual and get to work on this. At least I should be getting some extra funds this weekend when I get paid... I forget if that is going to be Friday or Monday; but at least it's Soon. |
