This has to be one of the highlights of the year this NFL season. Watch as Jerome Simpson of the Cincinnati Bengals scores a touchdown in a way that would make a gymnast proud! | ||||||||

Gonna spoiler this because it's mostly a financial analysis since I just wrapped up my budget from this past year; I even have fancy charts and everything! Well, one fancy chart. But some people sem kinda shy about financial stuff, and it may be long, so I'll hide it a little so it's not staring at you.
* Still haven't fixed the other computer yet. Anyone happen to have a XP service pack 3 disc I can borrow? Or a XP laptop they could bring over so I can copy registry and system files? >_< Other: Anyone know how to get a "u" in the font that my car's model is printed in? Let me explain--Right now it says "Grand am", but there's not much of a space between the two words. I think it'd be hilarious if I could get it to say "Gundam" instead. Too bad I don't know anyone who does car body/detailing work or I'd ask them what kind of options I have. |

Sorry haven't posted anything here recently. Not a whole lot important or interesting going on. 1) Downstairs computer lost the internet to a virus this week; Anyone know where I can get a copy of WinXP sp3, or even the SP3 upgrade disc? ...or even have an old WinXP laptop I can copy things over from? It gets an IP address from our network, but the DNS resolver stuff is borked (as is the Security Center service, and so I don't know what all else is corrupt) so most internet stuff on that machine is down, unless it involves direct IP addresses. 2) Planning on visiting Wheeling etc on Christmas Day. Have to leave here Xmas Eve night after work, and then I wanna go to church in the morning, so there's a big chance I'll be napping all afternoon.... and Jen hopes I can make it out to Cambridge area by 8pm or so, so not sure if I'll have much time to visit people or not :( but at least I can drop gifts off w/ my parents for delivery, if I don't get to actually see people. Having said that, if anyone will be available for visits/visiting on Christmas Day, let me know and I'll try to make it happen! 3) There are rumors of a laser tag party on Jan 14, depending on circumstances and availability. It's a saturday, but I've already taken a day of paid vacation off for it. ::thumbs-up:: (Wow, as of 1/1/12 I get 40 hrs paid vacation! That'll help with the job hunting if I can get the request in far enough ahead of time...) 4) Got almost all of my Christmas shopping done today, I think. Didn't get a chance to go looking for anything for the Musgraves, and got gift cards for half of everyone else... but that's what I get for having 4 hours or less to do it all in :( Didn't wake up till much later than planned, and had to get my brakes fixed. At least I shouldn't have anything more to do to the car for a while. 5) GM'd run #2 of a 5-run campaign this past weekend. Things did not go by-the-book, but thnat's because the book is self-contradictory at times and flat-out-wrong at others. Everyone seems to have enjoyed themselves at least, even if Kenny ran a "test" character that was unplayable (and got killed after the run). However, they gave me a couple hooks for extra-curricular story arcs, and after this run several of the characters appear to be congealing as a group of some sort, if not entirely a "team" quite yet ;) I also found another high-powered one-shot run that I'll be able to include in the campaign, just to give the players a better idea of just how bad-ass their characters have gotten. And after we wrap up this campaign, we'll have to see whether people want to keep the same characters for a "5 years later" sequel or not. Still waiting for my birthday present to show up so I can finally get the Official Story on the end of SR3... which was actually a deciding factor for me choosing the campaign I'm running right now. ^_^ Now I just have 4 days of work to look forward to >_< and then a day of driving, another day of work, and then back to my Tues vacation :) Oo, and I get paid on Thurs, too.... Yay! |
