Man, it's been a while again. I keep threatening to write here but I never do.
I'm gonna skip the stuff I haven't talked about yet and go straight to scheduling the rest of this month:
This is Thursday, so tomorrow is Friday. Gonna try to get some of my excess gear (read: this here computer, possibly also table & chairs) moved over after I have food. Or mebbe I'll get some ramen or something and take it over for Lucy, she's been living mostly on pizza since the stove hasn't been working yet.
Then Saturday is work again, after which I'll need to finish moving everything and likely claim that I'm officially moved in Sat night & sleep at the new place instead of here.
Still trying to find out whether I'll be back in Wheeling on Sunday to watch Harry Potter, or whether that's getting postponed another week. I'd rather postpone it so I'm not driving back there two weekends in a row, but depends on when Erin will be available and also how badly my parents need their computer fixed.
Then two days of work... then RPG night. My brother should be there for the first time, if we can all be there then things should really be able to get kicked off ^_^ Yay for crazy super heros.
Then work work work... and Kyla's birthday party that Sunday. Still trying to find her something nice & appropriate, not that I've really been looking >_>
Pretty sure the Weds after that is when TRB & family will be back in Ohio, so I'm supposed to go see him then. Don't really know what that will entail yet, but I doubt I'll be properly awake for it ;)
The Sunday after that is the 31st, last day of July... Man, time is flying. :(
So--stuff I won't have time to buy while I'm doing all that running around:
* Washer and dryer (electric)
* Wireless network card (or USB adapter)--possibly 2 of these, depending on how well Lucy's old one works
* Possible other upgrades for Lucy's desktop (it's trying to die /and/ it needs a 'real' amount of memory)
* Microwave
* Cross-cut shredder (has been next on my 'to-buy' list for a while)
* MAYBE a window-mount AC unit, so that my bedroom can be a 'reasonable' temperature without making the rest of the house cold--though that somewhat depends on outside weather conditions. So far I haven't found a home HVAC unit that IMO properly cools the upstairs rooms...
Well, that seems to be most of the larger purchases I think we'll need. Not sure how many of my roomates agree on the last two there, but *I* want them so there, HA! ;p
Then I'll have two more "free" Sundays before the Pittsburgh Ren Faire starts. Looks like I'll be taking August 20 off work for the Opening Weekend, and then trying to figure out how to get back for a Sunday morning trip in mid-September.
Good news is that since I've not been skipping work, I'm getting paid more. Whee. Grossed about $900 on my last paycheck. Still have to put a lot more $$ towards rent than I have been, simply because I think I should be budgeting 25% of my income towards rent. Looks like I won't be jumping straight up to that amount for a while, so I can figure out exactly what my gas costs will be from the new place and see what food costs are etc etc etc. (Lucy is threatening to make lunches for Tim & I, which is very O.o for me but I can't really complain; I also don't know how much of Tim's food I'm going to end up buying.)
Also, I have no clue what electricity costs will end up being. I'll probably feel like I should pay a particular part of that.
OTOH, until we get a washer/dryer I am also going to be spending $$ on laundry, and I'll need to pay closer attention to what clothes I have and/or find a 24-hr laundromat nearby... if those even exist out here! and I need to buy 1 more pair of shorts and some more shirts.... I just hate having to spend that much money on clothes v.v Someone should take me thrifting again! -hints-
And Lucy is talking about getting a kitten. That's gonna be an experience. Hope I don't get too mad at it.
