Well, the new Dallas Cowboys stadium is opened, and already, there's a problem. They have a large video display hanging above the field, and it has already caused punters some problems! Jerry Jones said that the display was hung to league specifications and refuses to raise it any higher. I'm wondering if this display will cause other punters problems during the course of the regular season. Any thoughts? Silly Emo... |

A rant aout Arena/Indoor football: As for the scoreboard, It'll probably be raised because there is a competition committee meeting on it today, and you know the Dallas punter will eventually hit it then they'll be complaining. I hope to see you soon, and we will talk face to face. Just a Conlang ... so far |

In response to your Arena football rant... But yeah, IMHO, NFL should not, by any means, have any of the quirks that is supposed to be exclusive to the arena/indoor game. Even in domes, there shouldn't be any danger of actually hitting something like a ceiling or something hanging from said ceiling. The AFL and other indoor leagues designed those rules to compensate for playing inside of small arenas, but there should be no excuse for having to worry about those conditions on a full-sized football field. Arena: The Scoreboard ruling allowed the board to remain in place. If a punt (it might include kicks I don't know the details) hits an obstruction it will be a redo of the play. I hope to see you soon, and we will talk face to face. Just a Conlang ... so far |

well... I haven't heard about anything else hitting the scoreboard so it's a little disappointing. It's far more fun when balls are hitting obstacles in the way ;) I hope to see you soon, and we will talk face to face. Just a Conlang ... so far |
