  Ok, here we go. Here are the categories for the 2003 Bobbie Awards. All of the nominees will be from 2003 and before, a.k.a. the first era of the site. From here on, at the end of each year, there will be new nominees for that particular year.

Without further delay, here are the categories:

1) Best Journal - This award will go to the person who has kept the best journal. There will be three nominees in this category.

2) Best Forum Topic - This award will go to the person who started a unique, entertaining, or controversial thread in the forum that also received a great amount of response by the other members. There will be three nominees in this category.

3) Best Forum Post - This award will go to the person who made a comment on any thread in the forum that triggered a great amount of response. Of course, the post has to be unique, creative, or controversial. There will be three nominees in this category.

Before I go any further, I want to explain what I mean by "controversial". This is not a post that is vulgar, nor one that is hateful toward any group. This is simply something that people disagree on, like say abortion or the best NFL team ever! So, don't think that bashing someone on the forum or anywhere else will get you a nomination just because it gets people to reply to your topic. Ok, on with the rest of the awards.

4) Best Comment - This award will go to the person who has made the most insightful, creative, or unique comment in a section outside the forum, including Journals, Updates, Poetry, or likewise. There will be three nominees in this category.

5) Member of the Year - This top award will go to the member who has made the biggest positive impact on TGBob.com. It goes without saying that this person would have been an active participant during the year throughout a majority of the different sections that the site has had to offer. There will only be two nominees for the award this year, because I can only think of three people who would fit this standard, and I can't include myself!

If you have any other ideas for possible awards, let me know. In the meantime, I will be reviewing items in the prior categories, and within the next couple days, I will be announcing nominees for each category.
