Heyooo! I am extremely exhausted right now, of course somewhat due to lack of sleep, but I doubt I'll get much sleep this weekend, as I've got some decent sized projects going on. But anyway, on to the topic at hand!
As many of you may remember, back in March, we had a huge hail storm here, and in the aftermath, it seems like just about everybody in Shadyside is getting a new roof! Well, I finally broke down and had a guy from a roofing/repair company stop by my place to check out my house. It's a good thing that I did, because there turned out to be some significant damage to my house, including a battered and bruised roof, ventilation hat caps that were caved in from the hail, trashed siding, and gutters that were really messed up! For the siding, one side of the house got it really bad, and the hail marks are very apparent, but since the type of siding I have really isn't produced anymore, I will probably end up getting new siding on the entire house. All in all, I will be getting a new roof, new siding, and new gutters... almost like having a totally new house on the outside!
So, for the siding, I'm now trying to decide on colours/designs. Although I don't yet have samples, I'm trying to think ahead as to what I want my house to look like. I'm thinking of either dark blue or a faux-brick siding if they're available. I know that one colour I'm NOT going with is white. I'm not a fan of living in a white house... it just looks so plain, and that's totally not my preference! So, does anybody have any other suggestions for possible colours? I'll let you chime away.
Tomorrow's big project... replacing the bathroom floor. Ripping up the carpet, and putting down some fancy vinyl tile. Ganbarimasu!
