IN THE SIDE MENU. Ok, so I haven't posted anything for a week! For some reason, I just haven't been in front of my computer all that often at home... I know that a lot of my spare leisure time has been spent playing Valkyria Chronicles. (For those of you who have a PS3, this game is a must have!) But whenever I would have the chance to sit in front of the computer, I would usually just check email and that would be about it. I don't know if I've just grown increasingly frustrated with the long hours spent being in front of a computer every day or what, or if it was all in anticipation of this now-ending weekend. What did I do this weekend, you ask? Absolutely nothing! The past several weekends, I have been going non-stop, whether it be doing stuff with friends, traveling, etc., and it had been a while since I had a Saturday where I had nothing planned. So, I "planned" to have a weekend of vegging. I had told a couple friends in advance that I wasn't going to be making any plans and just needed some alone time all to myself (redundant). So, Saturday, I slept in, which wasn't too hard, considering I had Huddle House MtG the night before and was out until about 4:30. Oh, and after I did get home, I played a bit of Valkyria until about 6am. Anywho, I ended up getting out of bed around 1pm, which was still only about six hours of sleep. I actually woke up around 12:30, but stayed in bed, trying to fall back to sleep. When I couldn't get back to sleep, I got up, made a pot of coffee, showered, and nursed the coffee all day. I spent my time playing more Valkyria, watching whatever was on TV, and just relax. I topped off the night by ordering some Chinese food and watching some preseason football, followed by Mythbusters and more Valkyria. I know it doesn't sound like a productive weekend, and of course it wasn't, but with going at such a hectic pace, I think it's important for everybody who is busy like that to just take some time out of their schedules to just refresh themselves and do nothing. I know that for me, personally, I feel really good right now, really refreshed, and ready to start the week for once! This was definitely a weekend I needed, because I was wearing myself out drastically. So, now I'm especially ready for this upcoming weekend, as high school football starts up! First game involves an hour and a half road trip, so I'm glad I got rested up now! Let's just hope this work week doesn't take it all back out of me again! -- TG |
